The General and sorceress are vengeful pricks. The kings duty is to keep the majority of the people happy and it seemed like he did a good job

Very Cool!!!!! I like all the original work put into this. Amazing job! 5/5! The song at the end as awesome!! I can't wait to see what happens I hope there are more to come. I hope this game gets badges. And I hope everyone gets to enjoy the whole story.

Yes, his choices had bad consequences, but they had good ones too. To expect someone who is only human to be perfect is expecting too much. At least he tried his best to be good compared to the tyrant.

Maybe the stupid king shouldn't trust people so much. Besides maybe after the guard dude failed twice, (SOMEBODY) should be fired and or executed. Also, the king should have probably built up his army in order to defend his little useless country.

I didn't really care for the story but my biggest complaint is the inconsitency of platforms. Som fall as soon as you touch them, some wait a second or two, while the rest wait until you've leapt off them. Different shapes or colours could fix this problem...

And so Machiavelli's Principle is challenged: "The end justifies the means." A lot of harm could have been avoided if the citizens voiced their opinions... Just goes to show that you never can please everybody, and it is extremely difficult to even try.

Really enjoyed this game! Kudos to all the voice acting work. Great level design, and the difficulty progression felt just right :)

Worth beating for the story alone. While the game mechanics, story, etc are nothing that we haven't seen before, the execution is good and it makes for a pleasant, quick little diversion. 5/5

Speaking in terms of graphics, the game falls rather flat. The music more than makes up for it, however, and the voice acting is a nice touch. Despite being another upward platformer, you introduce new mechanics that keep it from being just a jumping game. You need skill and timing to get to the top AND stop the monster. Very well done.

5/4.5, the whole game was quite well done, the mechanics gave a great touch and sense to the upward-plataforming genre, the hostory was quite well made, not an award winning but quite well though and executed. the graphic style was good but the quality could have been a bid better. my only real complain its that the voice acting gets a little slippery in various scenes, like all the "aaahh", damn those were bad.

A really great game with smooth controls and great level layouts. And I especially like how there are usually more than enough traps to kill the bad guy................. I like how the fish has dots indicating where he will go........... The only real flaw was the spears because the monster can be high up on the screen and the spears are so long that frequently the spear would basically start off a third up the screen (as opposed to the bottom) and I couldn't dodge them. And the spears appear on the level with the least room to move around.

The king doesn't seem like that bad of a king. He killed the original bad king and it seems like the commoners prospered. He saved the kingdom from a bigger invading force with his cunning and went into battle himself. And he killed the dragon, who was an evil conquerer, with no soldiers dying and the commoners got more farm land. The only thing that he did that was bad was taking the water which is weird since its not like the water would stop flowing. And he apparently killed the giant evil fish thing in the river anyway.

Nice game, good background stories and music. Graphics don't fit much with comic style sequences, but is a really good concept. Original and fun 4/5, waiting sequel.

Awesome song (you can skip to it by directly viewing credits), I only wish the game wouldn't pause while the song is playing.

Needs a sequel where the Ex-King comes back and kills his douche sorceress and general and retakes the throne, because eff those two, the things he did were perfectly reasonable and saved many more lives than he cost.

I believe that the credit song actually tells the gamers how to solve this kind of problems: "just communicate". Imagine how things would have all turned out better if people directly told their needs to the king rather than exiling him. Dragon could've negotiate with the king; Magician could've told the side effect of the King's work; General could've confess his pain for losing his son. King obviously has conscience, unlike tyrant. So he could have done something else for the better - or at the very least, understand what he had done and try to fix it.

I really enjoy this game for its message: "there's always two sides to a coin". A fairytale-ish intro shows the good sides of King's works. Then, the game displays the negative, albeit unintentional, consequences of the seeming good actions. However, the game then reveals yet another side of the story, pointing obvious flaws in the treason: General who selfishly blames King for a sacrificing the small for the needs of the many and Tyrant who thinks King is no different than him (tho King is obviously a better man). The ending just nails down on how the treason was driven by emotion, without logic (Who will replace the king?). Finally, the credit song basically outright says that whatever King does can be blamed, for there's always a bad side to what seems to be a good decision. (+ how everyone 'thinks' they know the best because they can easily see the flaws of others' actions but never fully see the flaws of their own.)

Really nice game. I would only suggest adding background noises, music, or ambiences during the cut scenes. The voice acting was great, but they seemed a little empty.

i dont know what is worse, if is the voice actors, the stupid plot who is based on revenge onto a king who just helped the majority and not let the people FREAKIG DIE, or the stupid plataform gameplay gezz...
