The game needs an option to get rid of some portions of the hud like the assisted targeting, it's great and all but I want to feel like I did something cool when I take a ship down from long range

Lots of fun, even though there is no badges. Please add a notification when someone has locked missiles on me! And can you please give a tutorial how to use the radar?

Awesome games, all it needs is multiplayer and customisation. It shouldn't be with that pick-up-the-item system, every player should be able to select his weapon and go for it...

Nicely done! Personally, I'd like to see adjustments that would make the space physics more realistic, especially intertia. I don't think I've ever seen it done well, you could be the first!

Great game engine, but it could use a lot of extensions. For instance, how about a targeting system? Let's say press "E" for nearest enemy, "R" to cycle through all enemies (to find one you have a good angle on, or one low on armour) and "Q" to cycle through upgrades. When my target is off-screen, show an arrow pointing in the direction of the shortest turn to get it on-screen. (Maybe it's just me, but the included radar is far from convenient.) An in-game overview of the stats of the various weapons would be nice as well; I have no idea which weapon to try to obtain.

Normal should really be easy difficulty. I went 40 and 0 on my first game and had no clue what to do for the first 5 minutes.

Holding and then letting go of the acceleration button should keep the ship at its current velocity instead of dropping back down to its "default" speed. It would give the aircraft a more "aircraft" feel and it would make above average speeds less of a balancing act.

One thing needed is some form of plot/missions.
If you do, give us something to increase our power when we gain levels/achievements/medals.
Even better would be combing this with an Strategy feel, like if we are fighting for a nation. And our performance in the battle will increase the power of our nation.
So far this reminds me of Xwing and that is an excellent achievement by any programmer

This game is a VERY solid piece of work. If there are plans to improve and expand upon it, this is an EXCELLENT place to start things out. Runs smoothly, I feel the controls may need a little work but it could be my personal preferences (are they customizable?). I agree with what's been posted previously, feels like the good old Descent games mixed with Star Fox for great space shooting deliciousness! I would love to see more weapons, enemies, and the like. The polygon style feels pretty nice overall, and I love how the radar was done. It took me a minute to figure it out but MAN is it informative!

I'm lost between a mix of Star Fox and Descent. Like the others say, add a few things and this game will be a huge hit!

This is amazing. I suggest making a model for the weapon we're using and adding it to the screen (like showing the long Railgun barrel). It adds more flare and people like to see their guns. I also suggest adding more glow to the projectiles/make them appear larger; they're what makes space battles really pretty.

A little easy. I cranked it up to Very Hard, and only one AI got more kills than me by the time I hit the target number. Still, it's pretty fun.

The only comment I would add, it would be nice if it didn't decelerate w/o afterburner... It's SPACE, right? Maybe if you used afterburner for extra speed, but the fuel didn't regen? Then there would be a better reason for fuel pickups. Only a critique, not criticism , Great Game!

Great game! Runs like a wet titty even on older computer specs. It does not need any story mode but it does need more metal scores on the sound track. Thanks!

Very nice game, multiplayer would make it excellent. Only annoying thing is the instant respawn time, I am often caught off guard when I die because i'm already back in the fight. Usually ends up getting me killed again. A 3 second countdown to respawn would be nice.

I like it, it's really fun. I don't think it really needs a story mode, it's good as it is, though it could possibly use some touching up, it's still good.

same as all the other ppl... missions, upgrades, story, some 2 player race mode maybe just for fun... achievements, custom controls... mmm... what else?...i don't know. u need to add a point for the game or it is just a shooting with ur only ship to the easiest AI. in this mode is not fun now u deserve 2/5 just because it miss lots of things. improve it, update it and maybe u will get 3

wow, that was really impressive. A great start for a flash space sim. cant say ive seen many fully mobile space sims like this.

In 1993, Novell made small IPX network game called NETWARS and was bundling it to Novell Netware (at that time best network/workgroup ... management system).
Most of you JUST can't imagine how exciting it was to play Doom, Descent, terminal Velocity and Netwars over network (or some over RS232 cable).
Space flash arena brings LOADS of good memories but unluckily, it's not that much fun. I really hope this is just "early bird release" and we will see much more finished release pretty soon (if developer will listen to us as did developer of Sentry knight).

I don't mind the lack of progression system. Fighting a lot of ships on a high difficulty just feels great! A good game does not need to have progression to keep me playing. I have one negative thing to say: Sometimes I seem unable to gain speed. I just travel around at 1 MpH, which takes away all the fun. Refreshing the page does fix this problem.
