I searched my hard drive and my saves from yesterday are gone too. I really enjoyed the game but it's not worth my time to go back and start all over again so I wont play anymore

This isn't a complaint about this game, exactly, but about flash games in general. Why, why, WHY do you have saves that don't include the game options? Muting the thing every time it's started up gets old. (I'm a curmudgeon, and I hate games with non-essential background music.)

The way TRPG2 is coded, it looks in a different directory for saved games whenever the game's file name changes. If your game doesn't show up on the load screen but you can find it using the Search instructions in the Game Description above, it's because Kongregate is changing the file name around. I can't control that, unfortunately.
All I can say is, if this keeps up, you can always play it on SinisterDesign.net. I have never once lost a saved game playing on that site.

Sinister don't make it erase my save file this time, i came on today and my save file was erased :(
Btw, right now im stuck on the buttons thing, I turned them all to blue but im at the big blue button now and i can't click on it so yea... what do i do?

The save function is more broken than any other save function I have ever seen in any flash game, ever.
I would probably like this game, if it simply worked. Sorry guys, but that's pretty integral to a game like this.

the only thing i find bad about this game is the loading time for the map. other than that it's an excellent game. you most definatly deserve 5/5.

yeah, the way to physically get people on your team once you've recruited them could be clearer, too. took me a while before i figured out you just drag their names onto the slots.

there really needs to be a save point in between the cave battles in mission six and the boat ride back in the mine maze. I've had to refight those stupid battles something like six times now. Otherwise, lots of fun. Amazing job.

I've actually never played Earthbound, believe it or not, though I hear the characters in that game have psychic powers too. ;)
For help with any of the missions, visit the Sinister Design forums; folks have been making walkthroughs of the missions left and right!
Also, Tastidian and the boss just after him don't actually have 999 health--their health is just concealed from you. ;)

Help! Going through the section where you have to change the colors (I assume) but have no idea what color - can't seem to find anything that even gives a hint. Someone said there was a big one somewhere but all mine the same size.

When bringing team back to life, you should be able to choose which to bring back. That way, if you don't have enough money for everyone, you can still bring some back at 30g each.

THANK YOU FOR THIS GAME! its been a looooooooong time since there has been an RPG that has:
A good storyline
multiple endings
a well set up battle system
an actual PARTY of characters
and it has strategy.
The only thing that might make this better is more ability's and a choice out of maby 3-5 classes. 5/5 stars and a Favorite

The only things I always see in this game I don't like is the easy death of your character and that of your fellas.

The practice combat is a little buggy. Normal combat does not experience these problems.
As explained in my previous posts, your saved games from yesterday were erased when I uploaded a new version of the game fixing certain bugs. Try saving and loading now--it should work fine.

omg....no....no....no...i beat the final boss yesterday...i come today...and my save is gone...well my rating of 5 is changed to 1....FIX THE DAM GLITCHES!

OK! I play the game for an hour and then go into the forest. Suddenly I'm walking and blank screens and when I do eventually get back to the screens with some forest I can't do anything. Thats a MAJOR BUG! I liked the game but I feel like I've just wasted my time.... bah

For an RPG it's too linear and the given skills are too limiting. However, since I'm a long-time fan of the games from Spiderweb Software I did appreciate the tactical aspect of the game. It does need to be greatly expanded, though.

MurkyHawk, how do I recover my saved files? in one window(had up before SD's last update) I have the game running pretty far in. Other screen is new and there are no saved games =(

I have officially uploaded the last update to Kongregate. Games saved from this point on should work without a problem. Message me if they don't.

By the way, what I wanted to get from removing and uploading was new ratings, so people who actually lose their saves, never come back, never ever try to fix it, bla bla bla...Their ratings would not count.

The old save, however, was not of this game though. It was of Feudalism, not really nice to lose your fat army due to some bugs fixing.

I do not like people who complain about lost saves due to new versions. I have accessed the saves myself and have, once before, actually copied the old save into the new save folder. Perhaps you can try to remove and upload it? People are really just not too smart nowadays though.

I am fairly certain that evertime the game is reloaded onto the site (ie, updated) that it no longer able to use old saved information. I have seen this with other games. I too have lost my settings for the second time. I now am not going to play for a week or two to give you time to get all your updates before investing time again. You still get my 4/5 star rating as this is a quality game and I do not believe the issue is entirely on the games side. I think Kongregate update procedures may also influence this issue. Great game, and I'll check back in a week or two!

I had a fun game going, loaded it a few times over the day. I came back to check it out and POOF, no saved game options anymore. I never have issues with saved games on any other flash game. 1/5 until resolved.

well I've never lost game info on this site before... oh and I found a way to get 9 bonds + as much gold as you have patience for before you even leave town the first time

Are you sure that your browser cache isn't getting cleared? Message me if you're still having problems--I may have more ideas.

i got locked in a villagers house, then, when i re-set, it wouldn't let me load either the autosave OR the regular save file, it made a beeping niose, and nothing else happened. it also needs a map or mini-map

Great Game 5/5
But sometimes in the main town there, my character gets stuck in a hut and can't walk back throught the door. I don't lose data since I can just save and load out of it but it seems like a small bug.

Oh, and I'm fairly sure that the game keeps your saves in your browser cache, so make sure you're not clearing that either. :)
