I don't think there will be a number 2, because at the end, the Humans win. Unless, more of the same Aliens arrive from a different part of the galaxy, and want to take the planet back. The Humans must then fight until their last breath...

I don't know what everybodys talken about with bugs. I'm up to next to last level and havent had any bugs at all. Does get laggy when your chargen with FULL army tho.

@Dharkx: you can decrease the graphics quality to make the game faster or maybe remove the particle fx by pause the game (press 'x') you will see the options. thank you for playing this game

Was having fun but sadly I have to quit on level 9, the lag is absolutely horrible to the point of I wont waste 90 mins on one level only to expect itll get worse and longer on later levels, the enemies come waaaaay too quickly and their range vs mine is godly, and I think the way to beat this is charge their bases when the two waves of "bouncers" comes but to not only wait that long but to survive the wave of 8-9 four legged tall spitters is too much, too much " only one way to win a level" and win and too much frustration and lag. Hopefully part two will be better, im looking forward to it, ill give this 3 outta 5 for the enjoyment of the first 8 levels.

Ok game but plagued with some annoying bugs. One is your men wont move sometimes no matter how much you tell them, snipers are real bad at this at it always makes them die as they wont respond to move to better cover. Also levels are waaaay too long on later parts, level taking 7-8 mins is enough, any longer than that and ill go play a console game.

Good game. Strange, but interesting strategy. Definitely different from the "send units constantly" strategy that works in similar games. Gets really laggy at the higher levels... :(

Okay, I beat the final challenge level, but geez, that was touch and go for a while.
I couldn't imagine doing that on the hard difficulty level.

Which might not be a problem if the "initial money" skill was actually useful - right now it is a waste of skill points since even when it is topped out you don't even get an extra 100 bucks.
For that many skill points it should give 1000 bucks - at least, and probably more like 2000.

The 2nd boss, the guy in the last level, may be a bit too tough. I might grind for some more skill points, but he has an awful lot of hp and attacks right away.

For me it's a good game, unfortunately, the voices or not that good...please get better voices in-game. 4/5 =3 I hope you guys will make a second one!

@ratfink: its not that hard, you can look at the walkthrough if you need to know the strategy. http://www.smallfarmstudio.com/walkthrough/index.php?id=3

I keep getting a bug with selection. It draws the select box doesn't select any units and then I can no longer select a group of units...

I haven't found the difficulty to be that bad. I've been playing on normal and am about to start level 13. I think the people on the earlier levels need to use their snipers (and upgrade them) more effectively.

need to take it back, that game needs major balancing, the aliens have way to many adventages , for example the ranged flying ones can take out turrents easly, the big artys are really hard to kill and deal alot of damage not to mention that the humans have hardly any tactical points beside shooting all the way upwards, which is completly useless because the damage isnt high enought

Sorry but level 5 still sux. Mostly because of the stupid soldiers that can't fire on enemies comming from behind. Also the range of the soldiers seems to differ from the bottom of the map to the top. There is no way to make up a logical strategy
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Troops should auto-engage in the same manner that enemy troops do. It's really annoying when they stay right outside your range, and your troops allow them to get picked off one by one. It's not like players have great control over their troops anyway.

destroyme dude. thats kind of the point. its part of what makes the game harder. if it was not hard it wold not be fun. you should have to pay attention. its not a tower defense game
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Lvl 5 is really hard, the wasp things comes with uber range dmg and wipe most of your units. couldnt even dent the enemy base as your troops get wiped before you can reach it. And this is on easy.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
ya dude make the ranges about equal to the men for the second lv XD i mean come on if i hadnt been apying attention the enemies would have just destroyed me

Enjoyable, but could be much better. Select a tower, you see information like damage and range. Select a unit, nothing. No specifics given on what exactly an "upgrade" does. I earn interest even if i have $0. Turrets seem to programmed with strange ranges and firing angles and don't always pick things up at the same point each wave. Just needs polish.

The enemy ranged units are godly. All my troops, small gunners/snipers/grenadiers killed by 2 of them? I had decent upgrades but reallly? I like a challenge, but this is just frustrating. 2/5 because so unbalanced, money issues & upgrades seem to do nothing.

Good game. One thingREALLY needs fixing, though. The path clicking to move a charater to a destination is way to insensitive. I find myself selecting and clicking an area over and over before they move where I want them. The frustration makes it three stars for me, otherwise it would be a five star game.

It does have some problems in gameplay, notably: 1) the indeterminate point and click approach is flawed and requires pinpoint-accuracy (or a lot of practice) and 2) the troops do not respond effectively to commands when ordered. But overall, it's a good effort.
I like that the game resists a gameplayer's urge to try an immediate rush attack and that there is a moderate difficulty level in this game.
It's good to make a game hard, but it shouldn't be so hard to play. 4/5

Fun game! Like a lot of people said turret placement is key in the midlevel maps. Move turrets on multiple levels to back each other up, and wait till you collect a good bit of money. Last couple of levels go really quickly if you use neutralizers and rush.

Here's the deal people... Use patience to overcome the enemy. This is not your typical Build units and charge the enemy (aka rush attack). There is safety in numbers, and you MUST build your numbers first PRIOR to any attack. It works.... I'm on level 9 as it is, and this concept seems to be working fine for me. Great game as it makes you think a little bit more then the norm. 4/5 stars for me..
