I can't seem to get into the Secret Area a second time. I kill the boss and flip the switch, but the door to get back to the main level from the boss area stays closed. (The *other* door is probably opening when I hit the switch, but I can't see it from the boos area.)

Amazing game but the controls were very unreliable. I found myself constantly falling into pits because my character wouldn't jump or dash even if i had lots of energy.

looks like it could be cool but as is, there's an awful lot of different buttons to be pressing on one keyboard, and it's pretty laggy (for me at least) exasperating that issue. Also the stamina mechanic is more of an annoyance and frustration than an interesting challenge component, most of the time it just means just sitting and waiting for no real reason. On top of that having because of how the game focus/mouse focus is I can't even look at something else while I'm waiting for the stamina to refill since to do anything I have to press escape to get control of my mouse back. Finally, I think the obelisks should always refill health/stamina when you touch them, not just when you activate them, since you'll be returning to that point if you die anyway this could save on some respawn waiting.
Hey thanks for the feedback. F and L key functionality has been replaced by W. Currently working on a key rebinding system. I'll see what I can do for the stamina regen and the checkpoints.
Edit: Controls should be better now after the update.

Sooo I dies but not... just died but the death animation on the character don't played, and got stuck infinetelly there. Any keypress is working (B, or U or whatever).

HAHAHA I broke it on the level (first one?) where you have to keep up with the platforms. I climbed the wall just above where the platforms stop, got on top of the world and ran over it to the right (above the "treasure room") and then jump dashed against the right side of the screen and it slid me to underneath the world and I could run back to the left and see the bottom of the level. Had to use the B key to get out of the level.

Actions should not continue when menus are pulled up. I shoot after just about every conversation and upgrade, but worst of all, as I was prepping for the next room, I entered the door and the game faded to black and would not continue. Refreshing here seemed to lose the save and I had to start over.
Less important suggestions: 1. Wall jumping is finicky, sometimes I have to press away from a wall to jump off it but other times if I hold jump the character will immediately leap off a wall as soon as I touch it.
2. I strongly dislike when a game completely commandeers my mouse. I don't know if it's a built-in function of whatever this game is running on, but it's annoying to have to "esc" out of an already paused game each time I want to take a break.
3. The controls are a little wonky for seemingly a lot of people, it would be nice if we could keymap our own controls, especially since there are so many keys. Personally I would use J for jump, k for dash and L or Space/M/I for shoot.
Actions should not continue now, that bug should be fixed now. The autosave triggers everytime you finish a level, and the game won't be commandeering your mouse anymore. Right now I'm working on a key rebinding system. Will look into all of these issues. Thanks for the feedback, it is highly appreciated.

I dunno if it's public domain or smth, but the title music is exactly te same as in game Kindergarten (not online, avaliable at Steam)

Continued from "very promising but..." Have you considered implementing a "double-tap to dash" option? I normally prefer a dedicated dash key, but in this case, it would cut down on the number of different keys needed. And if you implement an option to have up act as jump, double-tapping up/jump while in the air to dash upward feels kind of similar to a double-jump. Admittedly, up to jump conflicts slightly with up to climb ladders, but maybe the action of the key could be context sensitive, depending on whether you're on a ladder. In any case, a control customization menu would be a big improvement.
Working on the control customization menu right now. "W" now replaces "F" and "L" for interacting with stuff and jumping. Also the game has autosave which will trigger everytime you finish a level, so you can safely return back to village. Thanks for the feedback it is highly appreciated.

Very promising, but... Since we can use the arrow keys for movement, it would be nice to have shoot, jump, and dash keys options over on the left-hand side of the keyboard. (And space doesn't count. Space has internal hardware conflicts with the arrow keys on most keyboards.) Wall jumping is a little weird. I can keep jumping against the same wall, but only if I move away from it, then back. I feel like the dungeons are very long, and I'm afraid to go back to town because I don't know if I'll have to restart the dungeon from the beginning.
I just updated the controls and added a new control scheme. Also the game has auto save, so you can return whenever you need to. Thanks for the feedback.

Jump seems really really inconsistent. Why can't it just jump when I'm on the ground, instead I seem to have random times when I can spam jump on the ground, other times I won't be able to jump on the ground, will run off, then suddenly it'll jump in mid air whilst falling. If the dev can't get jumping right I don't really have much hope for this. 1/5

Completed the game. It was super easy. Don't know why do people say about it being difficult. Last skill for 500 coins was never used by me, fire is OP and enough to break everything. I didn't buy a "second life" artifact, the game was so fast and fun, there was no need to grind for that bonus.
Advice to everyone: jump + dash combo + wall jumping make this game super easy. You can kyte Ogre boss with sitting on the ceil and jumping, while restoring energy. You can easily walljump in the last stage of the game, without getting hurt a lot. Max stats upgrades are cheap and make you almost indestructable.
The game is a gem, waiting for continuation of the story!!! Thx!

Also I think you can skip most of the second orb puzzle. You can dash jump over the lava although I think there is more puzzle to do.

The controls are SUPREMELY annoying and frustrating. I wish I could enjoy this game but I can't get over the controls. At the very least, we should be able to change the controls to our preferences.

In second dungeon, on the level with moving paddles, you can get with jumps and dash up onto the map, and become a Mario!!! http://prntscr.com/p7eewu Though if you shoot, you will drop down under the textures and you're stuck. Came back only with the use of teleport. http://prntscr.com/p7ef6m Was it intentional or a bug?

I'd love to like this game. But the controls are completely whacked. Needs controller support and key rebinding badly.
Working on the key rebinding system right now. I'll see what I can do for the controller support. Thanks for mentioning it.
Edit: Controls should be better now after the update.

90% of my time in a dungeon is waiting on bars to refill, which do not do so unless focus is given to the game. at the moment despite the good graphics I'm going to have to give this a 2/5

Pretty good. Would be nice if there were alternate controls, I prefer moving with arrow keys and ZXC for actions. Being knocked into the air when taking damage is very frustrating as you can't shoot down, especially against the ice boos (maybe that's intentional?). The arrow upgrades are pretty useless as they cost too much stamina, you're better just spamming basic arrows.
Currently working on a control customization menu. The knockback is intended, and as for the stamina regen, try to purchase the first item from the bottom. Thanks for the feedback.
Edit: Controls should be better now after the update.

On either I-IV or I-V, opened the upgrade menu while over the exit and upgraded the armor skill which seems to have activated the exit as well, now stuck on a black screen

hey i found a glitch!
in the tutorial if you dash into the enemy and the respawn thingy at the same time, you spawn under the map!

look pretty fun ,the best part is the skills are nicely done and the boss fights .
All you need is finding those keys after max upgraded to finish the game tho its not as easy as it sounds :)

Nice game. Quite not use to different key maps like spacebar is jump, while k is dash. Sorry just saying I was quite use in J-attack, K-jump, and L-dash. But overall your game was great not gonna lie. But it's kinda a bummer hahahaha coz it's so a hanger after the end. Hahahahah good job guys can't wait to play the second round of this game.
I'm considering swapping the K and L keys. Thanks for playing our game, it means a lot to us.
Update: There are two control layouts you can choose from. One used the arrow - zx keys while the other layout uses WASD - jk

Alright this is a pretty fun game but
1. Sometimes wall jump works sometimes it won't it's pretty frustrating to die from this, especially in later platforming levels
2. The Ice boss is pure bullshit, the advice given is technically true but will kill you if you heed it, if you're not quick enough it even can attack you twice, discounting the mobs, the bullets and everything
the last boss is easier compared to that.
I will check again both the wall jump and the ice ogre. If it's attacking the character twice it really is a bug that should be fixed. Thanks for your feedback.

Yeah, the controls for this are bit of a mess. Having a climb button as W and the jump on the other side of the keyboard. Double jumping by jumping then holding down a direction then pressing dash is just bad.
My suggestions would be to merge the climb and jump buttons to W, move the dash over near the wasd area so that all the movement controls are in the one area. probably move interact to the other
Update: Created control scheme profiles you can choose from the menu. There are only two currently one for right handed wasd- jk and one for left handed arrow keys - zx
The W key is used to control the dashing direction and climbing stairs. I will see how I can improve the controls. If you have any idea please notify me. Thanks for the feedback.

The controls don't feel right and make it hard to play. If the controls were better I would like to play this game all the way through.
Working on improving the controls, and creating a control customization menu. Thanks for the feedback.
Edit: Controls should be better now after the update.

I got an error in chrome: An exception has occurred, but exception handling has been disabled in this build. If you are the developer of this content, enable exceptions in your project WebGL player settings to be able to catch the exception or see the stack trace.

Hey, very cool! too many different keys, maybe? (and very spaced between them, to make it comfortable to use. I don't know if you can do something with that). Also, the mouse cannot be used, right? it's "keyboard only" (just to be sure).
