I'm going to go against my principles and ask for help on how to get par in level 36. I counted and the only way I picture this as possible is if I jumped over the portals in the 5th slide, but I keep hitting jumpy dude at the end. Any tips?

I found the controls a little less precise than the levels required, which dampens the fun quite a lot. Otherwise it's fun.

Really cool concept, we all like something "like a sir", the soundtrack was just perfect for every moment and the designs were simple, yet quite artistic.
But why all games HAVE to be a 1-life game xD? I HATE games where you die in the first hit, makes the last stages UMBEARABLE! and makes our character looks like a good-for-nothing weakling that cant take a weak punch without dying =P
Glad you loved the soundtrack, I worked a lot on it! About 1 life system, I understand you, can be very frustrating. It's just that the game would have been really simple with more lifes, and less intense.

Isn't it really misleading to introduce "crouch/protect" on level 5 when the only way you can get par is to jump and glide over the rain cloud and fire hydrant?

Level 37 "I told you: A genteman never forgets his umbrella!" "But Im holding it right here. Why can't I use it?" "NEVER FORGET IT!!!!!" Still, 5/5, great game. :)

@ImperialOne: You do realize that the pattern he fires his canes in, as well as where he jumps and lands changes each fight, right? Literally means that you can't memorize it. Maybe you just aren't that skilled.

If it was one the other eye The Gentleman would always have to switch the eye and also take his umbrella into the other hand to explain the symmetric sprites. :o
Where do you just get all these ideas from?
Two possibility : either rats are deadly radioactive (unlikely because of the period), or the Gentleman cares a lot about his hygiene, and die by touching such a dirty creature.

Was fun, until level 35, then it just wasn't about skill but just memorizing and hope you don't lag. Just made me say "f*ck it" and quit. 3/5

I was going to say this game has just the perfect combination of challenge and fun, but then I reached 25 and rage quit(maybe I'll be back later...). Anyway, high quality work right there, congrats

if i'm not mistaken, the default time for uncompleted level is 60 seconds........but there are some levels that require more than 60 seconds.....you might wanna fix that

For those looking to get par on level 5, don't crouch and wait for the rain to stop -- you have to jump and glide over the first hydrant so it rains on you while you're gliding.
