The resource tab should be split into two frames so that scrolling down the Tiers does not scroll the Resource list as well.

Hope the portal really comes soon, this game was straight up addictive.the only thing that can make it better is a larger screen area, I kept scrolling away a lot in the beginning.Great work Sparticle!

I'm not exactly sure how to get the Meteorite resource? I explored all of the solar system, but I can't find a way to make it...

umm needing to max your storage before you can expand the storage is just bad form. On top of that when charcoal storage is full, you still eat up wood as if it was producing coal. Game isn't in Beta, it's in Pre-Alpha. It's not ready to be rated yet. Looks like it has promise though.
I'd say that the game was a beta. It has weeks of content and is well balanced, apart from maybe that one issue, which is getting fixed in the next update anyway.
This is a bug that is fixed on the Github site: https://sparticle999.github.io/SpaceCompany/ but not on kongregate. It's having issues updating here though. I'm trying to get this fixed, but with little luck for now. Sorry!

I simply love this game. I have been waiting for an idle game that instead of gaining a singular "currency" you have to manage several dozen to proceed. Each with their own tiers and development stages. The only thing keeping this game from being everything I wanted in a Idle game, in my eyes, is more "choice" options. Like talent trees, factions you can join, or so forth.
Past that. Thank you for this beautiful game and I hope you stick with it for a long time to come. Especially if you manage to avoid the common trope of "Restart everything so you can go further next time!"
I tried to do exactly that. I didn't want to make another clone and was sick of playing them. So I decided to do something new. My last game, Minergy (no-one else has heard of it either. Don't worry), despite being an alpha, was quite popular (relative) and got people to keep coming back because of the multiple resources aspect. I attempted to amplify that and complicate it a lot, and it looks like this worked. I've been working on it for about 3 months now, and have been developing it actively and hope to continue this in the near future. As for the choice, there will be something like that soon to come.

One thing that I would like to see is independent columns. If I want to upgrade a resource I don't want to have to scroll all the up and down on both sides.

how is collecting ice from pluto more "profitable"? can't you just toss some water into a few freezers and get some ice? or better, go to the north or south and just mine some up?just think of all the extra energy you need just to send a spaceship into space and come back?

I like it! As it's in beta I thought you might like few suggestions:
1. The design feels like it needs to be separated into three separate parts like many web pages are, so the overall menu bar at the top, the secondary menu down the left and the content of the selected menu in a separate pane on the right. So making the main menu bar visible always and the left and right panes be scrollable separately.
2. Clicking on planets and research should bring the descriptions/options up on the right-hand side rather than underneath, you should be able to see the effect of clicking on a planet without scrolling.
3. When a planet is searched it might be better to grey the button and change the name to have (Explored) after the planet name. I'm assuming changing the flavor text to describe the amazing scientific things the player found there is on the to do list as explored areas still say it would be good to explore here.

I agree with the (explored) thing. That will probably make it's way into the next update. Yes, I am going to have an ultimate flavour text overhaul in the Lore Update V0.6. Loving this kind of minimalist display ! But for real there is a huge need to have a way to turn off machines to avoid being stuck with a constant deficit of energy or/and ressources :/

If you buy the charcoal engine before you upgrade the charcoal storage, the engine will prevent you from ever reaching the charcoal amount needed to upgrade the storage. And with no way of turning off the engine, you have no way of increasing the charcoal capacity. You'll get stuck! :-(

I believe the solar power research does the opposite because i was sitting at positive energy gain then i buy the solar power research and it Dropped drastically

Well, I took inspiration from lots of different games. I liked the simplicity of Swarm Sim's design, the complexity of Factorio, and although I never got far into Kittens, the resource balancing seems to be prominent in both games.

A lot to like here, as an idle game. I enjoy the logic and the complexity of balancing resource productions to get the upgrades. The spacing could still make better use of the space (I know it was tweaked, but still a lot of unnecessary scrolling around), and the lack of offline production is a HUGE downside. Hope to see this added in a future update. Otherwise, pretty decent.

The scaling on this is disastrous. A dyson ring produces 5k energy per second? I'm already producing 2.5k from nuclear and lava alone, what motivation could I possibly have to produce THAT many resources for such a small increase?
Getting more and more of the same type gets more and more expensive, until you really need the dyson ring. Additionally, the higher tiers of Dyson Buildings are better cost to energy value

Charcoal production can go in the negative, but nothing produces charcoal or as far as I can tell actually uses it. Buildings that use charcoal aren't producing power like they are supposed to either. Wood isn't being consumed either.

It gets difficult to plan ressource usage when you get the production bonus from research. If I produce 100 energy and build something that uses 80, I might end up in the red because I was actually producing 75 +production bonus.
The resource intake isn't supposed to increase with efficiency research. Just the output of machines. This is a bug that is fixed on the Github site: https://sparticle999.github.io/SpaceCompany/ but not on kongregate. It's having issues updating here though. I'm trying to get this fixed, but with little luck for now. Sorry!

As some people already mentioned: Offline production would be key as well, regardless of it being a 100% production or a 10%. That would motivate you to jump back into the game in the morning.

It's one of the better games of this kind I played since a while. Nice balanced so far, but there's one thing I miss - the ability to turn off specific resources production, not only for charcoal. Also it would be perfect to have the ability to adjust the number of working facilities.
