*Me playing the game to calm my mind*
Computer: "This was a triumph"
Me: "THE CAKE IS A LIE!"
Love how the AI seems perfectly like GLaDOS. Nice Job dev

I would like to note that since if you google Chicago Tribune Archives, it will automatically provide you a link to the very page you need for this game. Damn.

I found the newspaper ad in the archives, but they want my to pay for the pdf image. Or there is an abstract, but the button for that seems to be missing. Am I missing something, or did they start charging since the puzzle was made?

I haven't been this engrossed in a flash game for a very long time. Great concept with a fabulously written story to complement it.

Great game!!!Exciting to the end and also very informative. The game connects it's setting to our lives with all the things you have to do to find out passwords, bringing in a ton of immersion(I finally learned how to read sheet music thanks to level 10).The shortness of the game was a bummer though. And I finally learned how to read sheet music!!!Eagerly awaiting the next episode!

Just to let you know...
The newspaper part is not a clever trick, or has a hidden message. You actually have to do what the email is telling you in order to get the password.

I must say, I'm surprised by how good this is. It makes me want to try making something along these lines myself. I very much enjoyed dealing with the CCM. I look forward to the second episode.
Looking back on it, that sounds very generic. But nonetheless, it's true. This is a good game.

***SPOILERS BELOW! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED***
The character Mu in Chinese means both yes and no, or the answer is unknowable. Which is an interesting thing to name your imaginary corporation isn't it.
I think anyway. might have to look that up again. anyway fun game. the newspaper clue threw me off the trail for a few minutes. I guess im just used to most newspapers wanting to charge me for access to their archives, at least that was the case when i was writing my first research paper.

the end was the easiest bit. you should have to do all six. and the hint files should be hidden and locked.
SPOILER:
There is one flaw i see: tgurton and aevans. I tried ssh before i had a password and didn't try the other until i peeked a walkthrough. At that point there is no reason for the player to think there is a pc with no password, especially as passwords are central to the game to that point. Something needs tweaking. (maybe the full name not visible/discovered until you get the password).

Really awesome game, lots of learning involved.
Its not too hard if you have a little knowledge of computers, otherwise its really challenging!

Great work, I had much fun completing the story and your information is always enough, sometimes it takes a while.
I like the way it teaches some basic shellworking, i will play this with my students for sure! Thx
Need Episode 2 with grep and other commands :)
