I like the game, but there are some subtle changes that would make it feel more comfortable - Add PgUp and PgDn (or Shift+PgUp Shift+PgDn to be authentic) to allow scrolling of the window up and down. Would also be quite nice to be able to copy the text from the terminal and paste it outside the game.
I love the idea - can't wait for the next one!

I think that bible thing should not be the part of the game i m not a christian and i didn't have any idea about amos puzzle :/

Wow, loved this game! The Chicago Tribune was a bit tricky, I was on the right path for awhile but got stuck. Those stuck, HINT without spoiler: If you find you are being asked to pay for the answer, you are on the right track, but wrong place (keep looking)
Can't wait for episode 2

I honestly don't think this deserves a Hard badge. Medium badge, at least for me. The only level I need help was Level 6 (didn't realize I can use "ssh database").

It's true that there are many translations of the bible, but the word in the specified location is remarkably consistent. The first 11 translations at http://www.biblestudytools.com/luke/19-4-compare.html agree and so do most of the others.

Is the badge hard because you have to search the ACTUAL Chicago Tribune archives? How did you come up with that password???(I thought this game took place in 2061 cause of the AI :P)

Nicely done and engaging. I wish there were a few less anachronisms though. For example, jpeg and mp3 files didn't exist until the early 1990s, and the separate "computers" should be "accounts" on a single computer. In fact email didn't really exist before the mid 1960s. It might have been better to set this in the future, and let us explore an early 21st century "past."

Challenging game, super fun. It's pretty hard to get into at first, but once I got the hang of it, I felt pretty accomplished. I enjoyed having a puzzle game that isn't quite as simplistic as the other ones I see coming out on Kong right now.

I absolutly agree with Criminal9021 that making ppl use out-of game content to solve the puzzles can create lots of problems. Not so with like the ASCII code, that's widely available, free to get and most important unambiguous. While the newspaper thing, I tried 10 minutes to find out how to access that article w/o having to pay 4$ before giving up...

I absolutely loved this game. It is my new favorite. It beat swords and potions, which has been my favorite for years. I simply cannot wait for the next episode. Great game and quite a cliff-hanger.
To those of you who are just starting it, it can get challenging at times, so good luck.

The terminal really needs tab completion and the ability to go backwards using left arrow without erasing the text. Otherwise great.

very well thought out and i appreciate the research you conducted in order to pull it all together....gave it a real feel with different aspects of different people. Just like many people work in a company and all of them have different lives...so do your characters (even though we dont meet them). Like the challanges and making me use my brain to figure out where i could get the information needed to answer the puzzles.

music, sfx, voice acting and the whole game was just soo splendidly done! I feel traces of conspiracy, tragedy and an amazing plot behind this, can't wait for the follow up to this to make a series :D

I've amused myself by actually looking up the Aug 15 1961 Chicago Tribune. Turns out there's no page 23; they broke it into sections. themoreyouknow.gif

It's a fun game, but hard badge is a bit too much.. even medium would be too much, it only takes 20-30 minutes to complete it on first go.
Well, can't complain, now that's my easiest hard badge earned :D

@Nergaal: the newspaper is realnewspaper... if you search those same archives in google with date of the message and page 23 then you will get that tv brand is Admiral

The rune message (in bastardized, mirrored Latinised Futhark) says Mu Database Studiosime Som. They should've used a different rune for c as per the alphabet, so it would've said Studiocime Com, or studiocime.com (no periods in Runes)

I wanted to give this 5 stars, and I did. Then I came to the newspaper level and changed it to 1 star. Requiring people to play a game by doing something outside the game is a big no-no, and is taught in Game Development 101.

Enjoyable game. The first "outside the box" puzzle took me a while to work out! The only disappointment for me was the last level which seemed to reuse a few of the ideas of previous puzzles. I would have liked to have seen the last hint as well, to try and power up the last computer!

As soon as I realized that you have to go outside the game in order to solve the puzzles, it was easy. I felt like I was Lisbeth Salander for a little while, very cool :) I gave you a 5/5 :)
