I was wondering if the computer was inspired by GLaDOS, but once I saw the board had "cake" and then "lie" written right after it I knew it was pretty unlikely to be a coincidence. Well, if one is to borrow, one ought to borrow from the best. I hope the rest of the series will be as satisfying as this game was.

For anyone who doesn't know, at the end of the game there's symbols that translate to a URL, the URL displays a date which is the presumable release date, which was later this month

Awesome game, considering typing seemed so tedious, but you somehow managed to make the most basic computer function into a suspensful and fun game. I have only one concern...and that is that I don't see an episode 2...hope that will be fixed soon :)

Absolutely amazing game, 5/5. If anything, the only complaint I can make is the repetition of the bible riddle, once for peter's computer, and then for one of the six computers to be powered on.

Okay, I know manual.doc and help.pdf are unnecessary for progressing through the game, but all the same, what are they there for? Are they an Easter egg? I've tried punching them in to ascii converters and hexadecimal converters, but they come back with unicode symbols at best and nothing at worst.

Wow. Undoubtedly one of the best puzze games I've ever played. Might be a bit biased because of my fondness for the *nix bash

What happend to the homepage linked iin the end? I can't reach it anymore, wanted to check for more clues, replayed the game but the hint to the site is the same.

oh man, the game is the cause I registered on Kongregate, I've been playing kongregate games 3 years ago or even longer...
Which means this game is the real thing if we compare it to games of this type.

This was one of the most challenging and fun games I played in a long time. Making me search for a '60s newspaper was really unexpected. Congratulations to the devs!

I prefer my hints/clues/codes bound within the game I'm playing, but it was still clever, and that only proved a difficulty with the final puzzle and the Chicago Tribune. Solid game, fun working it through otherwise

great game enjoyed it really liked some of the puzzles
+for ccm_02 puzzle
+for television ad puzzle
+for camera puzzle with different lights
- (big minus) for the last puzzle
huge letdown, the "solve 5 outta 6" mechanic was okay but the hints were too obvious i'd rather have a big complex puzzle than 6 little ones for the final level
my ideal final puzzle (including these minipuzzles) would have been that every solved minipuzzles gives you accessto a piece of information (text.doc or whatever).
Also interconnect these hints.
You want the "Oh shit, this piece of information changes the sense of this other information" or
"Oh, that's what was meant in this document" feeling but please not "interchange X with Y"
Overall well made 4/5
Difficulty: At the beginning good, last few puzzles too easy

*Warning! Spoilers*
I love how everyone spammed Chicago Tribune archives with searches "august 13 1961". This autocompleted search appears as soon as you type the first letter. Great Job!

I have no idea what this is, but I'm going for it. Is this some kind of "hacking" experience?I wish it was this easy IRL

Excellent game! My only regret was that I didn't find this game sooner. Loved all the layers and the plot. Can't wait for the sequel :)
