In Drekar Camp when you buy robbery industry it works fine until you decide to buy another industry. I have a goat breeding to and when there is not enough water to continue production all undustries stop working, including robbery industry which supposed to bring a lot of money for me every day, but it does not. however i still have to pay upkeep cost. So after i came back to pick up another 3-5 mil. i noticed that it is zero on my balance - very sad, i tested it several time and all industries really stop when there is not enough water for my goats

@Krolen You can buy storage in any town, under "Your industries"
@sitofak They are telling you that you need a bigger Caravan to continue. Your three people will be decimated in areas to come.

There really should be a way (except dekhar's ex-town) to store vehicles for when you don't want to use them. For example if you are short on Fuel. It is micro-managable to always have enough fuel, but it really is not easy.

Do they really expect my party of three to carry food for 17 extra people to the plantation across the desert? We have barely enough carrying capacity to carry food for us. I need 1500 l of water and 1mil calories for the trip and I have 240 carrying capacity. Sounds reasonable.

Don't forget that the amount you need to get somewhere is highly theoretical. It does not account for the fact that you can starve for a pretty good time, water costs practically nothing no matter where you go and where there is a store there is water, even if there is no food or forage. That said, even without water you can travel a days worth (you'll arrive with less healthpoints however). Also it does not account for Enemies you encounter who usually have food and water. So if you are at a point where it seems nothing will make you reach your destination, in the beginning, consider buying at least a strong melee weapon (you'll have to lure the enemy by taking cover) and just hunt the first enemy there is. I managed to kill 5 people with only my main character and a Dakhar warband of 15 with 2 people, so it is not impossible (that last fight also provided alot of Jackets, netting me quite an income)

I really like the theme here, and the writing. That will probably draw me back at some point for another try. However. the mechanics of what needs to be done to stay alive in the desert are not fully explained. It is possible to get to a point where you simply don't have access to enough food and water to travel anywhere, even from the most recent auto-save, thus necessitating starting over from scratch. This could have been avoided by covering that in the tutorial or better game design in general.

So, this guy has water to sell, but, no containers to sell it to me in? What the hell have I been drinking out of all this time? Am I just tossing my containers in the desert as I drink? This seems like a pretty glaring design flaw.

@Sacripant, The New Serino trip is a bit long, but quite doable. You can make it with just the main character. There are a few tricks you can employ to make the transit to there easier, stock up on good food like meat(high calories) and/or milk(decent calories and high water content), hunting and collecting can shave some weight off the food and forage needs and allow you to take more water with you. Also try to get up to a decent speed, slow caravans are very heavy on the food/forage and water requirements.

I cant seem to be able to make the trip from pullid tribe to new serino... I got 23 donkeys and 8 crew members... Am I missing something?

Oh, Candle14. Doublebummer. There are 1 or 2 Farms in the region after the first, which buy donkeys for VERY good money (like between 21 and 26 thousand per donkey)

This game.... is amazing. People can complain about it being difficult to get into and understand, and it's true. But like, you can't think of it as a normal understand it in 5 minutes beat it in an hour flash game. Think Final Fantasy 3 the first time you played it with no RPG experience before. Steep learning curve, but great reward. Truly an epic game!

I am amazed how terrible donkeys are for long treks in the early game. I was stuck in the early game sites, assuming buying donkeys and lots of water would help. And it did make me very rich (I think). But had to seel all but 1 of them in order to make the 5 day trek to the next towns. Bummer! And it feels strange to be able to walk there, but not take a caravan of donkeys along. Why offer to let me buy so many donkeys in early game, if they are a trap that must be thrown off in order to proceed in game story??

I tried to name my character Chunk Nariz, Masn of Zinc and Spencer Rice, no easter eggs :( it would have been cool :D

Would really like to use decimals in the calculator when purchasing instead of just hitting add minimum for 0.1 seven times.

Having 2 horsies finally :D 1 with a Large cart (to carry my 3 units) another with a medium one (because the large one leads to the same capacity in my case) and now I'm cruising around at 12 speed ^.^ I even can reach fully supplied Northway from Jack's Gambit and could go farther!

I also think that it's a bad idea to have different shops in the same town offer different prices for your goods. It gives the wrong idea about the supply and demand in the town, and adds an extra step to selling items that really isn't necessary.

Nice game. Fights feel too much like stabbing and running around in circles until enemies are dead.
One issue though: It would be better if the salary payment event would be delayed until after coming to the town. Spending all money and being left in the middle of the desert with dissatisfied employees and a full caravan that cannot move is not fun.

This feels like all the most tedious and needlessly overcomplicated parts of Fallout and Dwarf Fortress got combined into a brain melting horror.
Shame, the orignal was so straighforward and enjoyable.
