Powerfully deep game, but I dont find it that fun for dabbling. Not to besmirch it, but if you're not willing to pour in 40 or so hours, you probably wont enjoy it all that much. The UI is horrid, but within all that is pretty amazing customizeability. Do I love it? Nope. I've not got the patience for dealing with the percentages and the map navigation and micromanaging everything for optimization. Is it an exceptional game? Probably is. Fallout quality. Even that it would be worth money to many people. Are there problems? Exploits, poor interface, high amounts of luck and chances of encountering stupidly powerful enemies without warning or option to flee/bribe, etc. Yes to both. Good evolution to the first, hope it is patched up and improved 4/5

The avatar customization is really ugly and the game is really hard at first but it is very detail and that is what is great about it

Autosave would be nice. Plus, maybe I missed the tutorial for trading, but it took me quite a while to figure it out.

pro pro tip: before leaving janubi swap all your donkeys for horses and up your speed to 12kmh
and mosins are your friend for almost ever

"Hey, an escort mission with 16 people? YOU have to feed them? They are completely unarmed?" I'm fine with that. "THEY CONSTANTLY GET IN YOUR LINE OF FIRE AND WASTE HOUR OF YOUR TIME USELESSLY RUNNING AROUND IN EVERY BATTLE?" I'M! NOT! OKAY! WITH! THAT! AT! AAAAALL!

This game has very large potential, but at the current stage it still needs some work.
The leveling system should be completely reworked for two main reasons: first, there are some exploits through you can get very high amount of action points - these should be capped.
In general though you cannot really level your main character who becomes a weakling at the endgame. Would be much nicer if all characters would level and you would not need to recruit 10/10/10/10 Boryokudans to beat the enemies past Janubi.

Please make autosave a default. It is far, far more frustrating to lose your progress of half an hour or an hour (and possibly more) than to have the game save for you. I'd rather be slightly irritated by the saving and turn it off if I feel it unnecessary than to lose so much progress.

can someone tell me how to not die as fast. my health goes down so fast i can only go inbetween my bunker, silos, and lintu camp. if i go anywhere else i cant make the trip back. and no one sells medicine so i cant really do anythiing

Sweet and mighty things yes, I'm bloody ecstatic over seeing this after some sporadic, stoic digging through the idle/mmo-fest that Kong has understandably become. Much love thank you, thank you, thank you for the hard work. <3

If you missed lois (twice) you can either start over or do the evil storyline, unless you already denied Tarzin then you pretty much need to start over. I would recommend saving often.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
If you miss the appointment with Lois what happens? Do you just lose and have to start over. It seems a bit silly since there is not clock that you can see easily and also if you are playing on the fastest speed time flies by so 12 hours is actually a few seconds... any advice? I have been circulating and talking to every town leader and there seems to be nothing to do.

This is literally the best flash game ever created. I can't believe how great this is. So much depth in the gameplay. I'm 12 hours in and I feel fully immersed in the world.

Hard can be fun, good and worth. Silly unfair isn't. I can't kill 20 bandits in the same travel and get headshotted 1 meter from the arrive because the map have no walls. And why the bandits 1hit kill you even with the better gear avaiable? Do you think no potions, enemy stronger than you, almost no way to avoid combat and random no cover when you get instakilled is playable? i love this game as the first one but i can't try the same travel 10 times because random sniper ninjas appear at the wrong moment.

RedGoldandGreen -- re donkey/cart in Caraveneer. I think (based on playing the first version), the cart only gives you the added carrying capacity that is above the donkey's old load, since the donkey can't be loaded any more -- he is now pulling the cart. You don't add the two together.

This seems way harder than the original, which I played a lot. Right now, the logic is escaping me of how to get to the first town at a distance -- and I am exhausting the local at-start economies. I have tons of water containers and lots of donkeys to carry them, but I can never carry enough to actually get to that distant town without going on short rations, which I hate doing -- but I guess that is the only way I can think of. Likely, I am missing some obvious, logical solution (like walking there with one donkey in tow??) -- but I am assuming one will be attacked along the way, so want at least a modest squad in attendance -- and that takes water, food, forage. Can't figure out the equation, unless short rations (and then one is weakened when attacked...)
Oh well....
But why so much harder than the first one?

The hiding mechanic is tedious and wonky, at least in the early game. Perhaps I chose the wrong stats, but that's how I feel about it.
Also, this game has this issue of being thematically self-contradicting. In one end, it tries to be realistic, in another, every vendor has limitless money on hand, and raiders attack you regardless of your affiliations.
I haven't played for long, but as this game isn't an improvement on the previous one by much, I don't see why I should invest any more time in it.

If you have some slaves long enough and you treated them good and their relationship with you is good enough, you can hire them from crew menu, instead of freeing them

second time i loose my saves... first time i didnt mind, i messed up, but second time i got far and had a good team :( love this game so please do something about that.

So I played part of the story and reached an annoying point where I didn't have food or water to kinda get anywhere and it was getting annoying because i was running into people shooting from across the map and dealing 45 damage. So I tried Sandbox. But how the hell do you do anything! There are no other towns and it seems like the only other way to to search for them, except I never find any and die because i run into a group of 5 scavengers with guns. Its on normal yet its impossible....
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Do to the prices of things like animals carts and guns, the fact that trade goods like tallow are bought for about $88 but cant be sold anywhere for more than $5, you spend more than you make in food and water, you cant take two steps out of town without getting killed by scavengers (because you can't afford a ranged weapon) the prices of things like animals carts and guns (the things needed to help you make money) are all above 10k, industries at 400k (and with your low profits you wont be able to afford them any sooner than 1 million years), I have determined that this game is unplayable.

also one last thing, make it possible to shove a vehicle without gas or a sand glider in a cart so i don't have to stop if im out of fuel or the wind isn't going my way

The economy log in the Caravan screen is kind of annoying. You've got a perfectly good scrolling list in the top right hand part of the screen, but if you want to scroll through the price histories for all the towns you've been to (a HIGHLY useful function when planning trade routes), you have no way to do so but by clicking 'next/previous' buttons to manually switch between every possible good, including stuff like the unique quest books that no one is ever buying or selling. It'd be a lot more useful to put that list of all items in the scrolling list, and have whatever you select from that list also show up in the section below.

Stuck at lost with no medicine and my character at 5 health. Might be good to add overpriced small med packs for emergencies in all towns.

2/2 make it possible for time to pass while you are in a city, so for those people missing louis (alice w/e) they don't constantly miss her, TIP: only wait 10 hrs, and check for her, you'll get her then. Let me line up my people on the map my self before hand. idc that i have 60 people, its better for me to line them up in 15 min than to take 30 rearranging them mid battle just so my rpgs are out front whilst still taking fire from the enemy. Also, let me rearrange the lists by order. i get that you have the limited list bit, but what about: 1. rearrange carts by un/attached, damage, type, etc, same for animals with gender. 2. weapons by type, acc, bullet vel, same for ammo with damage, and group the same ammos together, not this jumbled up mess. 3. rearrange your people by their stats (any SINGLE one of them, not just attributes). I can't wait until you are officially done ironing out all the little kinks. BEST OF LUCK!!! :D

PLEASE READ DEV: Please make autoeuip weps and ammo not unequip those currently equiped with weapons. The learning curve is EXTREME, to the point where i went to a site with cheats just to enjoy the 50% of the game that i could (i have unlimited money), but it is a great game. the "sandbox" mode needs to either give you more money, start you in the tribal region, or give you a "dev button" where you can create whatever you want, unlimited money, super powered volunteers, 50 umi alphas, whatever weps, fed police spawns, just so i can test out what works and what doesn't. right now "sandbox" is more heres $10k in a region where the mercs cost $5k a week, guns are $15k, and those bandits are about to wreck your ass. basically every menu has these pictures of things that frankly, don't really matter. i get that alcohol comes in a flask, what i need to see is more than 5 products per side, as late game players find them selves with a scroll bar the size of a pinhead. 1/2

If I didn't have to load the game, at ridiculously slow speeds, every time I clicked on it, I might actually like it.

@RedGoldandGreen The capacity of your donkey is multiplied by the factor of your cart minus your cart weight.. Hope this helps :-)
