oh wait i just realized a trick you can that will always give you mutagen when you buy a hatchery or an expansion. Just undo whenever you don't get any. Maybe I'm wrong and the dev fixed this, but if that's the case please tell me.

I wish that the cloud save wouldn't have been obliterated, even though I was logged in to Kong. The cloud save worked for about a week and then suddenly 'poof' it was gone
