First time I played this was for the challenge during March. Now I came back to earn the badges that were added after. Funny how this game managed to reel me back into playing, lol.

I find this game enjoyable, even though it is clearly P2W in terms of pvp (and only help to go faster in PVE) but one thing that is clearly making me outrage is that f*** AI that use activs for you, majority of time that AI is clearly having a seizure... (By that, I mean that it won't take the best choice at all) and that pisses me off because often a close game or even games that you shouldn't lose AT ALL will lead you to your failure just beacuse AI is taking stupid choices over and over again...

Although I'm not exactly for the energy feature, I think this is pretty much playable to f2p despite the top comment. The cards were interesting enough to allow you to make different strategies out of it. And I especially like the fusing.

Actually being overpriced may not be that bad of a thing. It just means the majority would not be able to afford or be unwilling to pay, and everyone would be playing on the same level with each other. And they only earn money from the elite few who are rich. So everybody wins =D

The paywall in this game is so exquisitely, beautifully brutal that one must almost admire it as it crushes one's soul.
Can we please go back to the days where I have to grind games endlessly while staring at dozens of ads? We didn't know how good we had it...

SpellStone is a very enjoyable game. That being said it has a lot of issues. The most glaring issue is that everything in this game is RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. There are a large amount of cards (most of them being the best ones) that you will never have access to unless you spend money, and I don't mean a few dollars here and there. Most of the top cards are legendaries so as an example, to purchase 1 fully upgraded legendary card from the in game emporium costs $100. Yes $100 for 1 fully upgraded card. On top of that, to even have access to the ability to purchase all of the 4 items in the emporium you have to reach a certain VIP level which will cost you THOUSANDS of $$$ for full access. This comes after the emporium was originally available to everyone but was then removed and locked off and given as a VIP reward for spending $$$. Great game but horribly overpriced and has no love for f2p players.

a swords and souls promo brought me back to this game... Is it in hopes I will start playing it again? The energy system is still here... Its like giving aspirin to a dead man.

The problem with these p2win games is, the player always loses and the developers always win. If you start spending money, they get a lot more from you, than the game is worth and if you don't, you end up providing easy wins for those who pay, and so give them a motivation to keep spending.

There should be different levels you how well you win. Like a 'Grand' if you don't lose any, or 'Crush' if you win while opponent has no cards in play, and 'Domination if you do both. maybe earn a little extra. Please thing about this I think it would and something great to strive for every battle. bumb+ please if you agree.

It is a fun game, but the prices for premium content need to be adjusted. They expect too much money in exchange for cards that can compete in the recent months.

This game drags you down with the extended wait time for energy, bounties, upgrading cards, and finishing missions. I managed to gain two awesome cards with the mailbox feature and from using the free shards for logging in. Other than the artwork and speeding up matches, I found the game both tedious and dull.

Sure the game is good and fun but it prevents the player to play the game. Imagine XCOM2, where you can move two soldiers and shot with one and then wait 1 hour to be allowed to throw a granade. Go to sleep and the next day you can do again two moves and one shot. That is how this game works.

It didn't take me a few weeks to get bounty rank 5. It only took a few days - without paying anything. The chat community was very helpful at giving tips to how to progress, since many are f2p players.

The bounty matching doesn't work so great. It's constantly pitting me against other players with fully quad-fused, rune-enhanced cards, that I have no reasonable hope of defeating.

RANT (Part 2): I guess the developers don't take these kinds of comments seriously, because they're profiting from the game still. However, I just want to say to the developers, and to other developers of freemium games, these things you do make you lose a lot of character and fans for your own greed and an increasing pool of haters. The best way to stop these kinds of games, as I see it, is to simply not play them. If one sees any freemium game, don't play them or at least don't pay them anything. As long as the developers, who only see the money side of things in their games, see that they're still profiting, they wouldn't give a damn about any of these comments. 0/5. Deplorable. Cheap. Yet, for some reason, given badges, and still given damn by many. Just stop.

RANT (Part 1): When I first touched the game, to be honest, I was having fun and got hooked. It had potential and solid game sequence. However, as I progressed into the game, I found it increasingly difficult to play continuously, even for a mere 15 minutes. The game is pushing me not to play it! It had me hooked and potentially addicted, but the moment it made my playing time curbed and needed to be bought, it didn't make me want to buy it, but instead just quit all of it together. I stuck through with the game nevertheless for at least two days, but I soon found out that I can't even bear to get that Cards for Hire Badge if I didn't pay at least a few weeks wages for refreshing the bounties. This is truly stupid as the badge is practically bought, and expensive at that. Almost nobody would dare sit and play mindfully this game for around a week if they're playing this without buying those witheld features. This is a truly DEPLORABLE game.

If you're experiencing a white screen on Firefox, there's a good chance it's because you haven't enabled Unity. Click the lego brick to the left of the address bar to enable it, allow and remember.

"Spellstone is a fantasy card with beautiful hand drawn art and righ lore!" HA, my ass, the cards are american style easy to draw crap and the "lore" gets about as deep as one of the characters being hungry all the time... good card game though
