The top comments don't do this game justice. I have been playing this game for half a year now and it has been fun. I didn't like the energy system when I first started out, thinking it would be a big limitation, but this is not meant to be an action game where you can keep playing non stop. It is meant to be something that you play a bit here and there when you are free. You take part in weekly guild events, discuss strategies and keep making your deck better. I'll admit, the introduction of the game and the story is not the best, and the early game seems overly easy. But at the later stages you start appreciating the strategies that comes with new cards and all the weekly events and monthly bges. This is a p2w game, but until you reach the last bounty level (which can take up to a year), you barely feel the p2w effect and can enjoy the game pretty much as a f2p. So give this game a chance, if you will =)

Hey I'm quitting. I've spent close to a hundred bucks on Spellstone - I would have spent more - but I've gotten a Chromebook and for some reason you want to force me to use Firefox - an inferior system. You're game does not load well on FF, I hate waiting up to twenty minutes to get my daily, and you seem not smart enough to adapt to the most popular browser in the world. So as much as I will miss your excellent game -- you lose.

A marker indicating that a game sells items for coins would be nice in general. In my opinion, it's a great game, it's just that many people on Kongregate don't expect or accept free to play games on the site.

Simply unacceptable that the medium badge is what it is. Everybody else's comments about P2W/freemium and Unity are totally valid too.

I played till level 4 just to finally finish that annoying swords and souls challenge, and I still have absolutely no idea what the game’s plotline is even supposed to be about.
But judging from the top comments… yeah I don’t think I’ll be playing (or paying) on to find out

The game starts out laggy for me, but the fun never stops! Liked how I could organize my cards and stuff. Great game!

I really like this game. But I can't play it because of the energy requirements forcing me to stop every few minutes for 2 hours or more. I had given it a high star rating, but gonna have to rate lower now, since I can't actually PLAY the game to ENJOY it.

This is a very cute and fun game, very much P2W in spirit, unfortunately, but F2P is somewhat manageable and still fun for the most part. I just really struggle with games that don't let me play freely.

This is one of my favorite card games of all time! I love the art style and all of the different cards, enemies, and characters! I just want to see a continuation with the main story!

The game displays German language for me. I checked my account settings and I'm set on English. Why does it display German?
