It has a lot of potential but a very big balancing issue. if you have deep pockets you can literally go straight to endgame, but if you don't pay a dime it will be a long grind until you get a remotely good card. Also, there needs to be a limit on the number of mythics, vindicators, or higher rarity because they are incredibly overpowered.

As much as people claim you simply can't progress without dumping money into the game, that is false. I have been playing about a week now and have 4 cards with 40 or higher health, and rarely lose a first page match. Yes, paying players will have a major edge over f2p players but in any game where that is the formula, that is to be expected. You just must be patient and keep coming back at it for any real progress.

Pretty interesting card game but the energy costs on missions are ridiculous and it is very punishing to new players. High wall of entry before you can start actually trying to customize your deck.

Well, what I do miss in this game is the trade function. I strongly feel the game would be less monetising for the makers, but a lot more fun, if the players could trade cards... an essential function in all Trading Card Games. Big downside to this...

This game has a nice feel to it, the different levels of play are smoothly connected. If I want to be slow in advancing, I can play enemies with lower levels and make more Gold until I advance. I have found this game to be playable without having to spend any money. Real nice - at least in my view.

Well, cautionary word of advice to new players.
Don't even bother with this game if you don't intend on spending anything on it.
Devs don't consider addressing the problems for free players or for new players like card draw chances, energy costs, how little gold is earned from Rivals/Missions or the fact that accumulating Salvage Points to upgrade and fuse cards is incredibly slow. I'm out, hopefully for good this time.

So they turned my favorite hero in WMT in an Iron Mutant (and he's unplayable hero) and my favorite unit now called Briareos Walker and it's nerfed bellow hell, may as well call him Briareos Wanker. Just WOW. Thx, devs, love you too :/

Played this game back in the day. Coming back to it now is really fun. But seems like its hard to be f2p. Like you have to spend alot to really be good or to at least get some good cards. But will play anyway. Really love this game.

@CharlotteAvenger Technically speaking,Tyrant Unleashed came first so Global Assault is TU. But yes,all of Synapse Games share the same concept.

After playing for a month I could say that UNLEASHED version of a game is so much worse it may as well just not exist

I feel like they should either up the energy cap significantly or drop the energy cost of missions significantly. This is a strategy card game, not Candy Crush. Also there should be more that I can spend gold on, not just the cheap single card pack that is almost certainly destined to the salvage pile. Way too much of this game is reliant on spending Bonds.
