Why the heck are you people getting upset an mmo has badges? Its a game, and all games are generally made for fun and entertainment. So if this game gets badged because it fits the bill, then great! Its not like you absolutely have to get the badges anyway. I really dont see why people would get upset if one of their favorite games gets badged, or if because an MMO title gets badged, they upset because they have to work toward it. If a game isnt fun for you, then leave and dont play it again.

The reason people are annoyed by MMOs getting badges lies in the fact that badges only come every few days. Generally people who spend time on this site do so because of the concept of achievements, which are not so predominant on other flash game websites. In this way, they play games they may not enjoy simply for the metagame concept of achievements. Thus, obviously it is extremely annoying when something that is not a challenge but nothing more than time consuming, a poor quality of all MMOs, arrives with badges. Essentially, its a waste of time for people who would rather enjoy a challenge for their weekly set of badges rather than spend time grinding and doing the same old tired crap they did in sacred seasons and dream world.

Don't whine about badges on MMOs. It's not a necessity to earn the badges. If you don't like the MMO, then don't play it.

Please select a place to start your colony... there is no where to build a fricking colony. Everything is either on water OR too close to another colony. Can't even play the game to know if it sucks. 1/5. Total lameness, talk about a false start.

hey this isn't fair i played this game before on mars1 but i quit and it was before badges but i don't wanna play the game all over again to get the badges

@NatetheDestroyer: Not only your game, the timer hat stopped on at least two different worlds besides e3. Seems like the whole system is screwed up. I think I'll just go on "vacation" mode, come back in one or two months, build all buildings, collect badge and forget about another MMO that wants us to pay through the nose...

@SXner26 Who said we were complaining if this game didn't have Badges, it just the facts are facts we play game for the fun of it not to waste out time sitting watching a building UPGRADE FOR LIKE 2 HOURS. No we want games that are fun and Interactive and this goes to the Kongregate Staff

Congrats! Who cares if it has badges or not, that doesn't stop you PLAYING the game. You all are just too pickey. Just too pickey. Who really cares if it has badges or not. WHO FREAKING CARES! There are hundreds of other none MMOs out there with badges, so stop complaining and go get THOSE. Gosh.

ok im starting to get into this game. its actually really good! the badges are rather easy to get, really not worth the complaints they get, and honestly the waiting periods are not too long so that the game gets extremly boring. great game, admins take a LONG time to answer any questions, but overall, great, good game:)

One work of advice. On your first playthought do NOT do really well. This was my first playthrough, I was playing on Fantasy 1, and I had topped the charts as the most powerful character bit a significant margin. At the beginning of the 5th day I was banned by Seth (the admin). Basically he said no noob could do so well his first time wihtout cheating.
It isn't a hard game if you put time to it. Indeed the ingame achivements give you in game bonuses when you get them (so there is a sort of advantage you have if you are doing this your first tmie, as you get more bonuses vs experienced players who have already gotten their achievements).
Not usually a fan of MMO, but good game. Poor adminstration. Would have rated this game high but for the admin. So need to give it a 1/5.

uh guys who dont want mmo badges and want greg to read your comment to remove it.... the kong mods hardly read comments... go to the forums or just keep your thoughts to yourself because we get the point that you dont want badges, we dont need nonstop spamming to learn what you are trying to say...

I miss the days when this game didnt had badges, and fags werent spamming comments of "Dont put badges on MMOs!". Ok, badges in MMOs are bad, we got your freakin point, now shut up! Besides, youre lucky this doesnt has a hard badge like Heroes of Gaia or Sacred Seasons! In fact, HoG has 2 HARD BADGES AND I DONT SEE ANY1 COMPLAINING THERE.

Stop complaining about the badges, its your choice what you game you play. If you don't like them, have a petition to have them removed, because noone on Battle dawn really cares how you feel about the game. So go do the petition or don't try for the badge and complain about it.

And another game which gives you advantages for money. If I want to make a free game I let everyone play on the same level for free. If i want to make money with my game I work on it until it's good enough to actually be worth money...
