Hard to make stable because omnivores are a little to good at killing things, and the predators are too fast and reproduce to quickly.

You should have them evolve. So like every 5th split, there should be a chance for the herbivore to evolve into a predator or omnivore.

Suggestion: i know this will be very hard to integrate, but how about cells evolving into multicellular organisms? you are probably thinking they would get too big to see, but then you could add a zoom slider Google Earth style. you could code it into their DNA to tell them what to evolve into, with specific animals for each cell type.

Lol this is what happend to mine when i spawned predator and a large herbivore and a virus:predators got destroyed by virus and large herbivores they survived XD

Hey if you want your herbivores to stay alive put accelerator in the middle and the corners it will speed up the grass and they will stay alive

not quite mini. look at your population chart. you will see swings that as herbivore pop increases, predator pop also rises. as the herbi population blooms, it eats the grass and gets preyed on. herbi pop. crashes. pred. pop crashed. plant pop booms. herbi pop rises again. rinse repeat for all eternity.
traits tend toward speed in both. slow herbi gets eaten, slow predi doesnt eat.

I made a nice place that was filled with so much life - then i tapped the mouse with virus selected and THERE WENT EVERYTHING.

its easy to create a stable ecosystem
just use large herbivores high evoluted and virus high evoluted (dont put too many or it will overwhelm them)
