I think the setting start point wrecks the highscore system. Here's my idea for a fix, while retaining the feature: Remove everyone from the leaderboard and start again. Then, implement a feature whereby your score is only recorded if you start from speed 100. This way people can still play casually (wrong word, I feel) at the higher speeds, but still have to buld up their speed from scratch to get a high score. Alright?
Good idea, but I have a better one perhaps: two game modes, Challenge and Practice. In Challenge you start from 100 and your score gets recorded. In Practice you start however fast you like but your score is not recorded. How does that sound?

Your updates are very good. About speed - I think giving people at the start 10 seconds of much higher acceleration allowing reaching half of high score after this time would be quite nice... Well, maybe just better. Because it would stop relying on luck and praying for flight long enough to reach next "100"

Well, my another comment after a few days of break from game.
After 20 minutes I'm in top 20 and it's quite nice rank but I'm not happy, oh no. I wrote comment after you added starting with higher speed. I pointed changes in game balance which let people have much higher high scores. Well, as I can see, you went further - now we can start e.g. with 1300 if we achieve at least 1300. I hope you remember top scores from old version of game. There was one guy with 1200 and everyone was like "wow". Now, we have 5 guys with 2000+ (no, I don't believe this. I don't think it's possible to play with this speed. And 2800+ looks just hilarious) and other with 1600+. And I feel bad with my score because I know I can't achieve it without starting at 1300. Lol, even with 1200 it is impossible.
Something has changed - you play for high score and start with very high speed and pray for 20 seconds of flight or you start from 100 to have some fun.

I agree it's still not right, but it's evolving based on feedback and I'm very grateful for yours :) I have some changes I'm playtesting at the moment which stops the speed increase being linear, too. Keep checking back and letting me know how you feel :)

I had something strange. Between 2 tunnels, half of the screen were black. Like a wall. I crashed into it (lost) and then it disappear :(

Did you changed something about starting speed?
My best was 907, and my max starting speed is 900. Shouldn't it be 800?

How do some people get a speed over 2000?! My max is only 1291 :(. Oh and sometimes I get a bug, where my whole screen gets black and after a few seconds it says "No escaping!".

with 18.000 in the highscore right now, some improved navigation would be lovely, like for example typing the number/highscore position you seek and being forwarded to the corresponding page. Also, displaying your current top speed and top highscore position would be something I would totally appreciate.

I'm Vice, ranked 15th behind all the spam, most-likely-cheating 'TenebrousIsDumb' players. Great game, gets me warmed up for shooter games and such.

I finally made it to 55th spot! YAY! I was going at the ludicrous speed of 1244, and I have to say that I don't think it's realistic to go a lot faster than that without using some sort of speed hack cheat or something, because you will only have a couple of frames to react to obstacles. Indeed the gaps between the top spots and the names used look rather suspicious. By the way I once managed to go outside the tunnel, so there is a small problem with collision detection. And yeah, things that don't belong still poke through the tunnel walls and at high speeds you can even crash into them.

After those updates i feel like its restart and hope for an easy tunnel game ;( In my opinion 200 speed save difference was ok.300/400 would be better tho.

You should lock the player's name to his kongregate account. Currently, the top ten is almost full of "Tenebrousisdumb". I think that's innappropriate...

Elegant game, but perhaps a little on the simplistic side. Be nice if there were more path twists, obstacles, some speed power-ups, maybe color shifts as you get faster, etc. Can't see playing this more than 2-3 times.

Tips for staying alive at speeds over 1000: Eye drops so that you don't have to blink... And what more?... Oh yes! Amphetamine! Lots of it!

ok when recording high scores you need to only record a players highest score not all his high scores so that they is not a top ten with 2 names on it...

Two bugs, the game suddenly sends me to a 90° rotation (Y axis for unity) once i start (using two monitors so it might be related), had to reload the page to fix it. There is also intersecting polygons appearing, although it's the back-face it records it as a collision, guess two sided collision on? (the whole tunnel was closed with a black poly). Btw, if you turn on back-face culling, you would be able to speed the real-time rending for the game specially for slower computers.
Culling is already on, you're seeing issues due to a portal system I put in 1.0.7 place to combat the overlapping tunnels issues, and it needs a bit of fine tuning :)

Found a very reliable way to "escape the corridor" again. It requires turning around several times, ideally near the point where two corridor sections join. Soon one of the two sections vanishes, allowing you to fly out - and then you can turn around and fly outside, following the path of the corridor and picking branches to follow - FROM THE OUTSIDE. It's a glorious sight - this bug needs to be an easter egg/feature! Would you consider keeping it and just disabling the score? If you fly to far from the structure you run into the no escaping error, but if you stay close enough to the corridor you can play more or less indefinately (I went from 150ish to 650ish before test crashing into a wall from the outside - normal death with an apparently countable score). It's PRETTY out here! :P

haha i finally have gotten to the top 100s :) @ChRiSyBB I think it's you cause mine is running pretty smoothly and I have a pretty crappy comp... maybe it's internet connection

Started glitching up recently... tunnel sections sometimes load in the middle of others, and either vanish when passed or crashed into.
