There are a lot of things to like about this, and letting the player assign keys as best fits them is not low on the list. If only this were a more standard feature...
The problem is not the quality settings, but the optimization of the game. I could probably improve upon it, but the exe version is definitely faster (can be found on itch.io here: https://fancyfishgames.itch.io/aground ). The game isn't too laggy on any of the computers I've tested on, which includes a 7 year old laptop, so I haven't been too worried about optimizing.

Amazing game. I had a lot of issues with Z being used for pickup/fight/talk/use building. Maybe add a few different buttons?

Oh wow i thought that this game was goin to be real short because of the island size, but no , i haven't beaten it yet but just seeing all the content that i got in a few hours is just insane, if the game continues like this it will stay in my fav list forever. btw gud game, if it is as long as i thought i would give it a 6/5
Thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying it! That was the plan with the game, to keep unlocking new features and content, so that there was a lot more than at first appeared (even the mining, which is a core feature, isn't obvious at first).

This game needs a way to lock items into your inventory. When I try to move everything at once to the storehouse there are a few items I would like to keep on me so I have to move everything individually. It would just be a nice QoL change. I would also like to be able to reset the mining area. That is just a personal issue of mine though. Great game!
You can move entire categories of items by selecting a tab (top left) before hitting move all. For example, you can choose the second tab (resources) to move all wood, ore, etc without taking away your food and equipment. That handles most desired locking, but an actual locking system would be more flexible.

Great game!!! Made me kind of sad when I finished it without finding the dragonblood and without using my rare minerals. An expansion would be awesome ;)

Quick way to make free money once you unlock the market : buy all the coal, wheat, berries, meat,a milk and eggs you can, make steak, pancakes and pies for profit!

is it possible to have a different button for attacking is very annoying to open my building instead of hitting the rats
You can equip a weapon in your inventory, then hitting the action key will always attack until you unequip it (you won't be able to access structures, but you won't accidentally access them either).

"Now that we have pigs, our farm can produce milk and eggs!" -- I'm not sure the developer really understands the whole "food comes from animals" thing...
I'm going to have to add cows and chicken, aren't I? My desire to keep the animal pen simple backfired :P . I could even add feeding of farm animals like the wyrm pen.
BUT! This is a different planet... so maybe pigs lay eggs? I even have the boars drop eggs on rare occasions.

Oh my god. Such a BIG POTENTIAL survival flash-game on kong like ive never seen before. This is almost minecraft cracked down to its very essence and made easier. Tyvm for that gem being in here *.* love you very much! YOU (mister/misses developer) did make this game-platform great again with your masterpiece!

I've found a glitch: If i manage to buy everything the food merchant has, the game freezes a few seconds later. Tried and retried, it keeps happening.
This is caused by the speech bubbles where the merchant calls out an item they want to sell to you... if you bought everything, then when it tries to get an item, there is none and it crashes. It's easy enough to fix, I'm just surprised you actually bought everything!

in my lameness, I am having trouble figuring out how to equip things. Not sure what I have equip'd, how to equip something else, etc... and the 1 and 2 thing... that happened as I was clicking elsewhere, so no clue what that is for...
Weapons are equipped automatically by power (you can see the currently equipped items in the bottom right panel of the inventory screen). Weapons can be specifically equipped by selecting them in the inventory to always use that specific weapon instead of the automatically chosen one until it is unequipped (useful for non-standard weapons like Bows). But in most cases, attacking an enemy or mining will use the equipment you want it to.
When you continue a slot after sailing the boat, it should put you right next to the boat right before you sailed, and you can continue to explore the starting island (but the second island is not done yet). Is this not what happens for you?

ive been wondering if the armor stats stack or not considering the miner tells me things are automatically equiped so all the armor would be equiped at once?
The armor equipped is shown in the bottom-right of the inventory. It automatically equips the strongest one, but they don't stack (so if you have 3 steel armor and 1 iron armor, you're really just wearing 1 steel armor and carrying the rest).

Interesting, all in all I liked it but some things felt a bit out of place. First of all, lack of information, what does an endurance potion do? no idea because there is no info on it, you need to add that, secondly, the armor is useless once you get the steel sword because you are so strong. thirdly, diamonds are useless except for selling? :( The game felt like it could have used some missions that were a bit harder seeing as I finished this with literally 100 of every resource thinking I would need it later on. Don't get me wrong though, I enjoyed the game, just some thoughts on it :)
Steel Armor is strong enough that boars can't even hurt you if they hit you (it'll show blocked). Obviously, killing boars in one hit is great, but never taking damage means it doesn't matter how many hits your weapon takes. Armor will definitely be more valuable for stronger enemies... maybe I should increase their defense since they are expensive in terms of bars.
Endurance potions reduce the stamina cost for movement, allowing you to go further. I wonder if I should make a wiki for this info, or try to squeeze it in game somewhere.
Yes, Diamonds are currently useless... I did consider adding diamond armor though! I'll definitely be doing more with the useless items (especially quartz) in the next island.
Thanks for all the feedback - I'll definitely improve and tweak the difficulty of the first island, and there'll be a lot more to come when we add the second island!

Having major issues with the game. The controls don't respond as it seems it doesn't force control of the keyboard when it's the focused window.
Also had an issue where it was processing commands that I hadn't issued.
There's no specific date for the next update, but it'll have about as much content as there currently is with many new features, with higher tech upgrades.
Nothing yet. We have lots of plans for them though - including allowing them to fight for you, flying on them and even using their fire to power a steam engine.

Food was underutilized. Make some necessary battles for the quests, or a need to stock up on supplies before the sailing.
You will need to stock up on supplies before sailing once we add the next island (which is why it saves before sailing in the current version). More combat or maybe dungeons where you can't restock until you complete them could make food more interesting too. Thanks for the feedback!

Very cool. The only achievement I've yet to figure out is hatching a dragon. None of the merchants seem to sell something promising to that; I don't know if feeding wyrms gets me anything (I can't figure out what they eat); and I've mined all the way to the bottom of the map and dug a tunnel covering the entire length. Intriguing.
Try closing all other tabs, as those can be big resource hogs. If it's still slow, you might want to try the exe version here: https://fancyfishgames.itch.io/aground

Wow, amazing survival game, you don't have to wait that long for the resources you need and you feel like you are progresssing fast which brings joy to the gamers. Well designed game, has tons of potential

May have been more enjoyable if the reward for looting the turned-away shelter plea corpse had not been the game's subsequent freezing. Almost ironic, considering.

(Should be inplement automatical eating for energy or health if something is in backpack and energy/health go to 0.)
That's a good idea. I avoided auto-eating in general, as it might choose food that you didn't want it to, but anything is better than dying, so might as well auto eat any health-related food before health goes to 0.
