Completed the game without finding Dragonblood... read the comments and you feed steak to a Wyrm... ok, captured a wyrm and everytime I go to place it down it just vanishes, tried to just "feed" it were I captured it but there is no option to do that, tried standing over the net with it in and pressing steak but that only feeds me. Help, is my game broken?
You have to put the wyrms in the wyrm pen before you can feed them. But, you can get dragonblood by killing wyrms before you get the wyrm pen (it's a quest from the alchemist - if you haven't seen him yet, look for caves near the surface).

mbacolas you buy the backpack and for the dragon, you have to capture a wyrm, put it in the wyrm pen and feed it, after 5-10 minutes you get a baby dragon (you can also feed the baby dragon, but I don't know if it does anything)

for the building quests, the people should be able to grab resources from the storehouse, not just wait until you, more or less the tribe's chieftain, have scooped over to be their delivery boy

The townspeople are constantly getting in my way when I'm trying to go inside a building. I keep forgetting to actually move the thing I just made from the building to my inventory. I've spent over an hour trying to gather enough iron ore to do anything worthwhile (because I have to keep going back to town to recharge stamina - items just don't raise it enough to be practical) and the controls are just plain garbage! Frankly, taken with my other two comments about difficulties this game presents, I can't understand why anyone has given this more than 1 star. I'm not trying to be mean, and I'm no newbie (check my profile...). I don't comment much, but when I do, it's because something really stands out. This is my third negative comment about your game. I'm sorry to say, but I can't see how you could improve anything. I'd scratch the whole thing and start over. Sorry if this upsets you, but sometimes the truth hurts.
I'm not scrapping the whole game - it's pretty rude to give suggestions for improvements, and then say I can't improve anything. I have already been working on many improvements from other comments, many of which you mentioned, including the controls and automatically taking items from the storehouse for crafting. Maybe the game is just not for you, but maybe the update will actually make it better.

I can't wait to see this game once it's been worked on some more! Even though it's not completed, it's already one of my favorite games.

@dragon achievement - you need to catch the wyrm, with a net, first than feed it with steaks - this will produce a cocoon; just wait some time and you're done :)

When you use all of a particular item in the inventory, it should become invisible/be deleted. When I open my inventory at the start of a game, I don't have a list of everything I've discovered followed by the number currently in my possession. Likewise, once I've used up all the berries in my bag, I don't need an entry in the list of items I'm carrying telling me I have zero. I know this. I also know that I have zero left-handed monkey wrenches. Why is that information not provided?

My biggest complaint is the fact that you just suddenly stop being able to mine deeper. No message saying that you can't mine deeper, no different color for the bottom tiles, you just try mining down and you can't. It took me a bit to even figure out that I wasn't able to go down.

If a resource is in the storehouse, it should be available to whatever building/recipe uses it. I'm gathering wood, coal and iron ore to make iron bars and finding that two of these resources are plentiful. The third is sparse. So I keep finding myself overloaded with the first two (among other things), and no room to pick up the ore once I have found it. This doesn't add any enjoyment or realism to the game, only mind-numbing tedium.

The story adds a lot to the game, gradually revealing hints that things are not what they seem. That was what made the tv show Lost so intriguing; the way it played with your expectation. I hope the next island is less earth-like.

You might get even better reviews if you let people know at the start, that the game is unfinished, so they are not disappointed by the sudden end when they sail off into the credit roll. But a fun and solidly built game. Looking forward to the next update.

Fantastic game, with few flaws. I would suggest one more tier of equipment though, as i got the steel things pretty quickly and didn't feel the need to explore the underground unless it was for dragonblood. The potions are amazing, but i don't know what endurance is and health potions weren't neccesary ever. The balance is good, not too much grinding but i still had to do something to get something, which made it's length perfect (it took me almost 3 hours). The only thing that disappointed me was the limited amount of bag upgrades, i was expecting a potion or a dock item for bigger bags there wasn't any :( overall, 9.5/10

How do you get all the achievements? I cant seem to get the backpack or dragon egg yet.... and i already built a ship...
The saves are local and require cookies. Do you have cookies disabled? You can also export saves by clicking options on the title page and clicking export save. This will download it so you don't have to worry about losing it when you reload, and you can import it by dragging the save into the game window. I think I might need to implement cloud saves though, as many people are having problems with local saves.
You can load your save after sailing, and it will return you to right before you hit Z to sail, so you can continue to explore and get all the achievements.

SO FUN! would love to see extra, maybe make it so the ship brings you to islands and you have to repair a space ship on one of them to win the game, but whatever is added this is definitly one of my fave games

This is definitely one of the best games I've played on Kongregate, a very simple but effective idea, the game doesn't seem like it's a massive grind. I would suggest maybe looking at the money system, once you've collected diamonds and sold them, you can just buy your way through the rest of the game. This has a lot of potential though! Great work

You need to change how being overburdened works. I took 15 coal from the storehouse to give to the miner to build the forge, and I died from HP loss before I could even walk all the way to where she was. I wasn't even carrying anything else.
The more overweight you are, the faster you lose health. 15 coal is 75 weight if you're not carrying anything else, which will hurt you a little, but you should be able to get it to the miner if she's on the surface before you die. Carrying food can keep you going longer, but that also adds weight...
We plan to add more to the dragon later (following you around, fighting, fueling structures, even flying on them)... but they are useless in the current version - sorry!

A net costs 1 gold ore to produce in the dock. But you can sell that gold ore for 70 and buy a net for 40, winning 30 of money in the process, so basically if you produce a net instead of buying it you lose 30 of money unless I'm missing something.
It only makes sense to craft nets if you don't have the market (turned away the thief). But, I'm planning to change the resource requirements for nets soon.
Probably sometime next month, by the end of this year certainly. You can keep track of our update progress on our subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/aground/comments/79805p/upcoming_updates/

Good game , would love to see more quests after the boat one . if there is any i cannot find them . i would also love to see more characters.i also have a question are their different sorts of quests if you choose not to accept some characters quests because i accepted all of them
If you don't accept all the characters, you simply lose quests... which kind of sucks. We're considering how to make the non-builder and non-trader paths more interesting.

The only thing I really miss is the ability of storehouse to distribute resources. Meaning that I really hate ferrying ingredients from storehouse to kitchen etc.

This game is a lot of fun. i cannot wait to see what comes of it. I have high hopes for the devs! keep up the great work

Please add regrowing trees. I ate some apples before unlocking the farm and never got the chance to build an orchad (4 apples).
Anywhere there's a tree stump, it'll slowly grow back to a full tree over time. Buildings remove the stumps, however, so eventually there might no longer be any trees (such is progress). You'll still be able to buy apples at the market (when you get it).

different music for day and night (if you add day and night), for above and underground, maybe also for different depth also if it rains or snow etc.
Thanks for all the feedback! We already have many of these planned, and I'm adding several more to our potential updates list. Since it's so close to Halloween, we might implement the events/holidays for the next update (just in time).

more animals, workers (not miners just to harvest), special island area to explore (biomes), match game progression with levels and balanced items stats, being able to craft with what is stored istead of always having to go back to the storehouse, seasons, events (holidays), rain/snow, not being able to mine blocks underneath buildings, having items literally drop instead of them just disapearing
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
too much potential... this game coul be greatly expanded with more ressources, buildings, things to craft, bigger back-pack, day-night cycle better UI, balanced mouse/keyboard gameplay, quests, underground loot (special rings to equip), independent equipment and items inventory systems, etc.

Hmmm, I was forced to die. I killed the what-not with the axe, and then the quest stayed up, "Attack with the stone axe". Couldn't sleep in the hut or use the storehouse. :/
