u cant look back because that was hades agreement with u. u can have her as long as u dont look back. in the myth he gets to the river were the ferry waits. He boars and think well were far enough i should be able to look. and so he does. she fades and all she can say is farewell.

Wow. Love the title, story, and ending, though it was kinda unexpected. I was also wondering why it was titled "Don't Look Back", until I got to his wife/girlfriend. Slightly frustrating when you fall off a cliff and land on a snake, but not too hard. Never thought I'd be giving a retro game 4/5 but.. this one deserves it.

a ghost who thinks hes a live go gets his loved one than comes back and finds out hes dead?
personally that sounds like a "haha! screw you" kind of ending

why do people keep commenting that this game is too hard? You have infinite lives.. Anyways, I got through the game with relative ease and loved playing it. Only complaint was that it is WAY too short. Solid game 4/5

@Retarded- i found that part difficult too, but what I did was shot the jumping thing as I was falling then i just jumped over the snake to pass
By the way, great game- very original and great gameplay. 5/5

As kane said, its a play on Greek mythology. A man made a bargain with Hades and was allowed to enter hell to retrieve the soul of his beloved, once found he could not look back until he had exited hell, but in the mythology he looked back before leaving and she disappeared forever. Loved the game btw

Great simple game. The people hating on it probably were too stupid to beat it.
It was challenging, but not too frustrating at all, I beat it in about 10-15 minutes. Great, great game.

I was gonna knock it down to 2 because the end part it shit (not being able to look back, yeah I get it, but it's a flawed mechanic) and too much trial and error was involved (enemies at the bottom of blind drops? really?) but the ending was great. So, still 3/5.

This is orpheus! For those who dont know the greek myth, he wandered into the underworld to save his wife, but hades told him to never look back. He looked back, all right, and u know the rest

Duuuuude... kick ass. Reminds me of the old school days. Very nicely done, music was fantastic, bosses were hard, and the ending was great. 5/5

Great astmosphere mixed with old-school platformer look + action. Touching story, as well! Simple is best + this game proves it.

The true purpose of this game is that its based off a myth and once you beat the boss you get followed by a floating person and if you look back she disapeers... read rastal66's carfully to understand
