I was so frustrated during some of the boss fights.. but that's how hard the games used to be back then.
I quite enjoyed this.
Good story.. good twist at the end.

old fashion action game! aka very hard and takes many tries. I personally was hoping for a "You have to burn the rope" type of game.

People who think this game is at all difficult haven't played too many of this style of game... I thought the difficulty was JUST right, maybe a bit on the easy side. And because I have a bit of experience with myths, I knew right away what was going to happen once I got the spirit to follow me. The twist at the end is nice too, very worth playing.

the game is good but im stuck at a cliff that when i jump off, there a snake and a jumping girl that alwais kill me when i toutch the ground, is quite annoying, im going to enrage! D: but 4/5, good game

Not bad. I like how it's hard but not too frustrating because you always restart from the last screen you died in, and have infinite lives. The unwritten story was also pretty. I didn't figure out until after getting the girl (if that's what it was!) that this was a take on Orpheus and Eurydice in the underworld (and why the game is called Don't Look Back). Ending was a nice twist on the original -- very expressive and poignant for a game that fits in only 100x100 pixels!

i kind of found the end to wipe out any feeling of accomplishment...
but a great, enjoyable game, nonetheless. <3 for old school graphics :P

At the wedding of Orpheus and Eurydice, the bride stepped on a poisonous snake and descended into Hades, the Land of the Dead. Orpheus followed her into Hades. Accompanied by the strains of his lyre, he sang of his love and longing for Eurydice before the King of Hades.
The beautiful sadness of his tunes moved even the denizens of hell. As Bulfinch writes, “the very ghosts shed tears.” Persephone was touched, and the dour King of Hades himself “could not resist”. He allowed Orpheus to lead Eurydice out of the Underworld on the condition that the musician did not look back. However Orpheus, overcome by anxiety and impatience, glanced behind him at the border of the upper world. In that heartbreaking instant, Eurydice vanished back into the Underworld, her last word being “Farewell”.

This game is excellent. The story is very simple but that makes it even better in this case.
Still, a game like this is not for everybody. It's challenging, there aren't any shiny cool graphics for people to wow over, and it's a relatively simple game. But for those who can get past that, this is very very good. 5/5

cool game. some people are getting upset about how simplistic it is? thats stupid. it tells you in the discription that its simplistic. so while the game gets a 4/5, the people who are apparently too idiotic to read get a 1/5

The game isn't really that hard :/ And you get to restart from the last "safe" screen you were on, so it's not really that hard. I liked the game, but it was a bit short.

Beautifull game. Good playable, small little puzzles and jumping parts, cute oldschool graphics, nice music and such a lovely ending. 5/5

its really not too hard, it just takes someone with the right experience. As Jig put it, "it takes a specific kind of gaming literacy to make these jumps and dodge beneath these leaping creatures." Damn good game, brilliant ending.
