I really liked the fact that you couldn't "die", you just got retries; including that I would've also liked to see some harder rooms. Some were challenging the first few tries, but with unlimited lives I would've expected more of a challenge.
The ending was a very nice touch though (although I don't get why he points the gun at him).

Poor gameplay. Restarting from three screens back is annoying, controls are often unresponsive, glitches galore, this game needs a lot of work to be decent.

All I gotta say is wtf... I came on Kong cause I couldn't sleep and picked a random new game to give a whirl and now I don't think I'll be able to sleep. This game was epic, and creepy. The end totally threw me for a loop.

This is really a neat game. I love the 'old' style of it. No complex graphics, no complex gameplay, just a really simple, really *good* game.

Well didn't think it was going to end like it did, surprisingly deep story for a game with no narrative. Cool game, deserves a badge.

one of the worst games i ever played the boss level is way to easy all you have to do is dodge him and shoot his back in 2 bursts the grahics is way too old school 1/5 u fail

This is amazing, I know nothing about Orpheus, but it doesn't even need a tie in to be a powerful ending. What I thought: He sees himself in the end, and he never "left" only died.

Vegan, I think orpheus looks back at the very end and loses his wife...Then he basically allows himself to be eaten. Or something like that.

yeah definatly Orpheus the son of the muse. except Hermes wasn't there to guide him or help him exit. and he didn't have a gun... XD but yeah he doesn't die that way at the end doesn't he like sing a song so sad that Zues has to strike him or something? icr...

Very nicely done. There were enough challenges for a game but at the same time it's a wonderful story and work of art.

total retro gaming, rad game man. It reminded me of Pitfall and A Boy and His Blob. And I really enjoyed the Greek mythology reference

Good game, I found a glitch though. When you jump off the second cliff, if you hold right, you will fall off the map so to speak. Eventually you will land, but you can not see the ground and you cant really go anywhere. For some reason there are enemies though lol.

I really like the look, but in general this game is pretty flawed. Very frustrating at points. Difficult for all the wrong reasons (the jumping needs to be refined a lot). Also, the ending...I sort of see what the dev was going for, but it doesn't really work.

I get it, the story of Orpheus. But why did they vanish at the gravesite? Your guy didn't have a gun until later (not at the grave). My *guess* is (for this story, not the original myth) that he killed himself at her gravesite, then went into hades to get her (the game), and they evaporated upon realizing they were dead?
