Why does the game fart at me if I mess up? I mean seriously, why make us get slightly annoyed by repetitive farting at us?

Am I crazy, or can I only see part of the screen... ? I can't see any red blocks at the start of level 16, and sometimes the game acts like I still have reds left when I can't see any...
