I think I understand why it's called the Last door now...what with that nagging feeling from wanting to explore every room (even after the crows)

Just to give the people who are suffering with the crow noise (like I was). Go to the servants room, out the crow in the bowl and use the rosary to keep the window open.

this sorta of reminds me of some edgar allen poe story because its very dark and atmospheric, its a really good game, after playing this i went to the website to play part 2 XD.

I hate to spoil, but the golden key is used in a trapdoor in the room where you find it. It's in the upper left corner and very hard to see. Hope this helps.

I love that dyslexia-friendly font. This is just amazing for someone like me. I didn't have to read everything 3times to understand evry little bit of sentence. That is the exact reason why i gave 6/5 to your game. That is also a message to every other developper. If you could implement that type of font to your games.

Create an account to play it at your web site or play it here without an extra login? No thank you. Otherwise a good game.

I did not expect that to be so good. I didn't even care that the puzzles were a bit easy, the story, sound effects and atmosphere were so sinister. The crows... to quote Guybrush Threepwood, "eep." 5/5

Great game! The perfect relation easiness-difficulty as to make it enjoyable without being frustrating. And, as everybody else said: a great story. Looking forward for the next chapter. 5/5 in my opinion.

What can I say? For time to time you found a little jewel like this. It's a pleasure to play. First sight you see the "old style 16-bits" (Haaa, memories) and 2 minutes later you are surrounded by the atmosphere and story. Brilliant.

simply amazing. I'm really impressed by tension, climate, music and even artwork! for a pixel game, everything is really clear and recognisable. I can't wait for the next chapter.

A great point and click. You can really feel the horror.
However, putting the credits at the begining of the game is not a good idea since it makes it look as though it was over.

Very good game. It is not a demo, you have to wait for the credits (which would normally be at the end of the game) to finish and then the rest of the game begins.

Very Edgar Allan Poe/gothic in story. Very true to 16-bit 'point and click' adventures... right down to "go as far as you can upstairs to find the key to open the furthest door downstairs then go all the way back upstairs with your dreaded single-use crowbar of adventuring!" The few phrases of music make it atmospherically melancholy, so the slow, linear game play fits... but you'd have to get in the mood to enjoy it. They could offer free Prozac, rather than a badge, on completion. ;)

Brilliant horror adventure game with such amazing visuals and music. Thanks for this great atmospheric game (and No its not just a demo ... its the full first episode) 5/5 for sure from me
