I have but one suggestion, please do not instant kill us when we are fighting our ghost. One of the new (or newer) skills is about making you take less damage when you are dying, if we heal during this time, we stop dying. This is a valid strat, but, we cannot do this to the ghost as we lose that dying status. We just instantly die. :(

Question/Possible bug.
When using a swordsman build with high attack speed and armour on attack, I was pretty tanky up until I changed the 'limit hero attack speed" option to the lowest value, at which point I basically instantly died.
'limit hero attack speed" says it exchanges exess attack speed for a multiplier to damage and on hit. Should it not also boost the armour gain?

After you reach lvl 100 (took me around 5 runs, but I'm an experienced), take conviction and smite damage in the holy tree, for additional % multiplier.
After a while, you might realize you're killing less spiders per click, so you must consider investing in shock chance and shock amplify damage, as well as enchanted attack chance. This will considerably augment your damage output. Also, lightning strike is certain to give you the shock in the beginning of stages, so count on it. If you desire to attain the higher stages, put 90% of your stars in star gain (flat), 2x star gain chance (300 points in it will suffice, as the price gets too high for too little), gold gain flat and % (from lvl 250, you can transform gold into stars), a little bit of item find and % sell value.
I got over stage 1000 basically doing nothing but this, without abusing glitches nor using any kred. You might need burn, as the spider's hp regen is insane at latter stages.

Here's a little build i'd recommend to new players. I just changed browsers, so I experienced the low starting stars/gold again. This won't go into details, as you can just try stuff on your own after obtaining starting stars/gold. So basically: With you base stars (if you don't have any yet, it's okay), augment star gain. you can base all you damage on the random items you obtain in the beginning until you get far enough to obtain a decent amount of stars in the beginning. Then you just go full burst: don't waste anything on armour. there's the base:
- attack damage
- attack speed
- attack charges efficiency
- attack damage %
- armour pen (every point over the spiders def will act as attack dmg%, stacking over the other multiplicators)
- 2x crit
- 4x crit
- 8x crit
- 16x crit
- 3x flurry
- 9x flurry

This is a good game as is, but could be improved by allowing you to purchase starting ranks in various abilities, same as The Perfect Tower, so you don't have to hurry at start to upgrade only a few abilities.

still got no idea what insta-kills me. i went over 1000lvl and got the insta death again. forgot to raise my hp after a while though. could be related to that. by insta death i mean game over half a sec after round starts, my attacks frozen in the air.

i think we die out of the blue for no reason, when the enemy spider reduces stats. i noticed twice some stat got reduced to zero and i insta-died before my shots even hit the spider. just game over. My guess is that we die when stats reach zero. Might even be a bug.

I would like to have a buy max option on skills. So I can click once and dump all of my stars into that one thing instead of holding "Z, Shift, or CRTL" And then mindlessly clicking to add the last few thousand stars.

Well, I managed to hit stage 200,000 before my game crashed. There are definitely a few exploitable bugs left in the game. It turns out that you survive and can still kill the spider if your stats are sufficiently negative :/

Frost does effectively scale Attack Nullification. Can't understand why Attack Nullification should be a capped skill instead of having a lower growth rate a linear skill it is.
The game is great but seriously needs a in-game, detailed and accurate explanation page by the developers themselves. Looking forward to that and more in a sequel. 5/5.

Difficulty above 100 is too hard in my opinion. For some classes is really OP. For example : I beat level 175 with swordsman - All crits at 100 speed + damage and all flury at 100 too. but as Nova or wizard with cast 25x and many variations - I can't pass level 100! WTF!?!?! Don't tell me about bad tactics - I am Playing and testing for over 2 weeks 8 hours per day.

Played a long time ago. It's pretty difficult to start new again after being used to having such a huge starting star count. My highest stage was 1238, but oh well. Time to figure out how to play again lol

Suggestion: Option to disable certain EVIL/HOLY skills. ie) Demon Shop uses 800 gold per second to heal you back while dead. I'm using a Blaster build, so when i got the tome from the shop, it was 1. wasting all my gold, 2. breaking my strategy. Either 1. disable button or 2. option to not pick a tome

For some time, I actually thought I could easily get stuck. Now I realized that the Total Stages are not based on the highest reached in a single run, but the amount of Stages cleared on all runs combined. This is an excellent relief for me.

this game is hard yes but one thing to know is that altough Magic hits hard it has a recharge timer to do again (cooldown the gray circle) so unless u have lots of mana regen and cast rate with 5 x cast and 25x cast.... then is not worth trying caster build for damage. You can go berserker as rage stacks damage as a % and well invested it adds a lot + life steal and status recovery high, then u good, thats my advice.

Getting from 70 to 100 is pretty easy with Inferno, and putting 100 points into Fire Storm (Max DPS from that helps counteract Spider Health Regen), and the rest into Armor/Armor Value/Armor Link, so that the spider has to have about twice-three times as much bulk as you do to survive, which is hard considering you'll have upwards of 150k Armor at the beginning of each stage, and a Stage 80 spider barely has 150k itself, which is a third of what it needs to beat you.

Most deaths are to getting mega-voided or DOT instakilled in late-game, as the Spider drags out more and more dangerous stuff.

My technique to go from 70 to 100 was to get the ranger and put 90% points into bow rarity, 10% into armour and decoy. The class uses bows as the only weapon, but i was able to obtain purple star rarity bows.
