Take my love, take my land, take me where I cannot stand. I don't care, I'm still free, you can't take these cows from me.

Game is amazing, one of the best games like it ever, it would be interstellar with a skip button after you've got a dialog branch on a replay. My hand is sore from clicking.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Best game dialogue I've seen in ages. Absolutely love it. Unfortunately the lack of a mute and the bugginess stop it from being any fun for me.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
All right, fine. I don't care about the mute, I don't play games at work and I really enjoyed the music (and the game). It's the most likely reason I can think of, though, why you're not getting a higher score. This game deserves more than a 3.5, but the mute thing really matters to some people. Quite a few people, judging from comments.

I think the skip button that HappySeaGoat mentioned would simply skip to the next choice and should probably only be enabled for scenes you've already seen.

A great game on Kongregate, these things are become rarer by the day. Thank you so much for this experience, I enjoyed every single second of it.
5 stars to the devs & bands, I am SO hoping you will do more!
If you mean the AGS game then yes, it is the exact same one (only some music has changed). It was simply ported to web by The Pixel Hunt & Benjamin Gattet with my benediction (I'm Pierrec)

My path made no sense. The general said that the chloridian war was totally a lie to cover the government stupidity but the she joins the army to fight the chloridians even she knows that the war is bullshit.
The Chloridian bombing on the ghost planet was a lie, the war isn't. In fact, a nuclear power plant just exploded, and the government used this opportunity to start the war with the Chloridians, probably because it has some interest in this war. The Chloridian War isn't a lie, people are fighting and getting killed there. It might remind you of 2003, when the Bush administration asserted that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction to start the war http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iraq_War
Sorry if it wasn't clear enough
It has something to do with who rescued you during the Bounty Hunters scene. Try to avoid the ones who already rescued you previously and focus on the one missing.

i think i got some kind of glitch. i had just started the game, tried to answer i was a tourist, after a few lines i got back to the initial screen even though there were dialogue lines flowing over it, kept clicking a few times until it froze.
You're not the first one to report this bug. It doesn't happen on our computers. We're still trying to figure out what the problem is :/ Thanks you for reporting this Care to tell us what your config is?

I don't comment on all games, but this one deserves a proper one.
the story is amazing. I really trued my best to get all the endings not for achievements, but for the story itself. To see where it evolves, what are the outcome.
The game is short, and yet you managed to get the sweetest core out of it and present to us on a silver plate. Seriously, it's so innovative and so funny at some points. I also have to admitt I'm overly impressed how everything happens in one room, or more, in one cockpit of a ship, yet you manage to put so much content into it.
Also, music rocks xD
Looking forward to more games!
This one surely goes not only to my faves, but to my bookmarks as well xD

I like to imagine the ship has an automatic time machine function, but makes the users forget 99.99% of what they learned the 0.01% is what makes the "heroes" take different actions.

Ugh, seriously? That's a tired argument. Yes, people have protested mods, cheat codes, game guides, etc. "It's not what the devs intended." they say, "It's not how the game was meant to be played. You're compromising the artistic vision!" If you want total control over the experience then write a book, or make a movie. Games are interactive. The experience comes from the intersection of the player and the game and it's not something you can ever have total control over, nor should you try.
Well, rest assured we don't seek total control over the players :-) IMHO, no kind of expression, be it through a book, a movie or a video game, ever provides the author with such powers (and that's a good thing because it would be terrifying). But that doesn't mean we should provide players with options we don't like. It's fairly easy for anyone to just switch down/off their computer's or speaker's volume if they feel like playing with no music, isn't it? If you use Chrome, you may even mute your tab! ;-)
[EDIT: We eventually added a mute button, it's M]

To answer the dev's question about a mute button: there are a few reasons for it. First and foremost it's needed because, right or wrong, a lot of people play these games while slacking at work. A second reason which I run into a lot is the need to leave the game for a while and go do something in another tab - the constant sound gets annoying in that case. Not a problem here though, since the game mutes itself when out of focus.
Yes, we get that. But our opinion is, on this particular game, giving the possibility to switch off the sound would be as experience damaging as giving the possibility to switch off the graphics, or to automate every decision. We tried to make a game with an atmosphere. We understand that some players may not like it at all, but the music really IS part of the game.
This might be because the game loads through an iFrame, and the hosting site might have trouble getting too many connexions at once. Try reloading the page.

About the mute and skip buttons: if nothing else, they'd make it easier to replay the game and make different choices.

Wow, this is an amazing game and I see you guys are actively reading the comments. Great game. I actually got semi-stuck on a choice near the end. I went Ox-Cow Incident -> Cowgirl and Aliens achievement wise.
This game is way too good to be just a flash game.
What do you mean semi-stuck? Was it a bug?
If you mean there was only two options in the end, well, that is normal. The two other ones have to be unlocked somehow :)
Sorry! We understand, but the game doesn't have a mute function. Maybe you can switch down the volume on your computer?

Haven't been able to get through the game without it at some point displaying the title screen again while dialogue from whatever is happening continues. It then will eventually repeat a scene and lock up. Cool game, disappointed I couldn't make it though though.
We understand your disappointment. Sorry about that! But as the game's in HTML and not in flash, this might cause compatibility issues. What is your configuration (OS+browser) ?
Well that's the problem of having english as one's native language, I guess... As a foreigner, I have to focus to understand the lyrics OR read in english - I just can't happen to do both at the same time ;-)

Thanks for the game! A beautiful piece of art! Nice story, fun dialogues, beautiful music, the whole idea of the game is awesome! Keep up the great job, guys!
You're the second one to ask. We haven't thought a mute button would be useful since the game relies heavily on its soundtrack; What is the problem exactly? would you like to be able to play the game while listening to your own music? (serious question, we're trying to figure out what players actually want)
[EDIT: we added one. it's M]
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I left the game open for like half an hour, and when i came back, the two characters were gone, with no way to continue (just listen to the amazing radio).
Maybe they went to hang out with the cows... ;)
Did it happen to anyone else?
They were probably cuddling at the back of the ship. More seriously : no, it had never been reported before, but maybe no-one never tried to leave the game open for half an hour. I will try...thanks for reporting it
are you talking about the slow pacing of the game or actual lag? The game doesn't feature a lot of animations so, once the music loaded, I don't really see how it could lag...

Please give us a way to re-read the last lines. In games like this I'm always afraid I missed a really good line by accidentally clicking 1 too much. Otherwise 5/5
Aaaah. I'm (Pierrec) aware of this problem but I can't think of a nice and clever way to solve it. Would pressing a key on the keyboard (like Z) would be enough?
Well... What exactly would you want to be able to skip? Don't you think a skip button might make you miss some important part of the story?
[Edit: We added one. It's S]
