now this is really unfair: enemy called "the haunted" has a scream attack that can immobilize you...and it ALWAYS hits, making it impossible to avoid other enemies' projectile attacks...2 of them in one room wiped me out...

Nice game, thank you! However, I found the "special attacks" to be a huge waste of time. I also wish you could press a button to attack, instead of waiting for the knight to attack at his own leisure. And yes, the spells really do over-power everything else.

well made but it has some major flaws - WAY too easy if the spell power ability is abused, bosses are really simple, and all spells have auto-aiming - this combination makes this well made game waaaay too dull - the player needs a challenge, not just a boring stroll through the park

This game has the potential of being very good, but there a few things that let it down. Don't get me wrong, this is a very fun and enjoyable game, but it has many things to improve upon. First of all, its too easy. All you need to do is get the First spell for the fire, lightning and ice and fully upgrade them, then keep upgrading your spell damage. Then you spam spells and kill everything. Then the bosses are simple and too easy. With all 4 of them, you just dodge their attacks until they are weak then attack and kill them. I would also like to point out that there is very little story, and the game is pretty featureless because, although its a randomly generated dungeon, it all feels the same and there is no exploration to it. No Secret rooms, or treasure rooms, or any kind of difference between any rooms in the dungeon. BUT, The game is still extremely an extremely fun hack and slash and can be completed in a few hours.

Umm... help? I went into a room and the door closed behind me, but there aren't any enemies, so I can't get out! What went wrong?!

Bombs are a major problem in my opinion. They take too long to use and blow up rendering them quite useless in a real playthrough. Also you can very easily just sidestep an enemy by a millimeter and they miss 100% of the time rendering the block mechanic useless. Finally magic is just too powerful if you level your magic the cooldowns are lowered to basically nothing especially with the amount of damage you can deal with just a fireball alone without burn damage. I advise increasing range enemies can hit to make melee more difficult and as for magic i suggest the input of a mana system where fireball costs 10 mana and you have 100 but still keep the cooldown system and possibly add an upgrade that increases mana. Or add it to the spell upgrade buffs. Thank you for the fun experience anyways 9/10

When does this game save cause I can't find a way to save it and when I stopped last time I lost a lot of data. three levels worth

Because of unbalanced spells, Melee attacks become negligible at all, because they are weaker and also risky. Another thing is the Bombs, used 1 time, then never used. They should explode instantly, not after a few seconds. If so, enemy can espape from it and so the bomb misses it. Lastly, but not important, is the overall difficulty. I don't really think that is too easy or hard, but far from balanced. Because of Spells, you will literally take no dmg from anything else because everything dies before attacking you. And that's bad. Bosses are pathetic about difficulty, for the same reason(especially if you have the Heal ability), making them very boring and easy. Well, I pretty liked the game because of interesting genre, but has a lot of flaws which make it unbalanced and too easy. I'm not sure if rate it 3 or 4, but I don't think this game is bad for just get 3 or excellent for get 4. So for me it's 3.5. (2/2)

I just finished this game, and that's what I think about it:
In overall it's a good game, with good concepts, pretty short but enjoyable, but has some flaws which force me to lower the rating. The Spells are totally unbalanced. Especially at level 3 and Spell stat at 15+, you can literally spam every spell on every monster for 1-shot them(I'm mostly referring to the first line on Spells page), and the first Earth spell seems to also be buggy. Unlike other spells which only get +50 dmg bonus on level, that Earth spell gets +100 dmg for level up, but can't grow whenever you level up and upgrade the Spell stat. (1/2)

So I killed a bomb guy and the boss key dropped right next to a door. Now I can't get the key since i automatically walk through the door when i get close....

Rizon The Dweller Lord stuck with just moving, without attacking after a while. He was following me and pushing till we got in a corner and I can't move :D!!!!!!!

Too bad my summon gets stuck into the room I invoke it... It could prove convenient to have it around with me till it dies or the spells wears off.

yeah everyone is right, you need to have mana and limit the spells, or call it specter mage. otherwise a fun little game

ITS A COOL GAME BUT STILL SLOW LOADING I RECOMMEND MANA TO because you can spam the magic and kill the enemies easily thats why you need to make it MORE challenging for the palyers who plays this game I LIKE IT

The spell animation sequences are ridiculously frustrating. I don't understand why I must float immobile for two seconds, repeatedly taking damage, when I try to HEAL.

Oh, this is game is small fixed screen size. It does not scale and half of the game area is gray (obviously not intended to get displayed).
Poor programming.

I mean, the combat system is very bad IMHO, like, auto-aiming is so annoying. The block system works well tho, you can attack and block so that's nice.

If you defeat the Maji boss on floor 16, but don't get the Spectacular Knight Badge, try beating it again without using any freeze spells. I beat it twice last night (Sept. 17, 2015) using freeze, but got no badge after either. Today, I took freeze completely off my spell bar (so that I didn't even accidentally cast it, went the entire floor without freeze) and beat Maji again and then I got the badge.

Multicasting by pressing 2 buttons at once. Magic is to powerfull. Just cast earth (ignoring opstacles) and other overhead spells for ez win.

Game is fun and CAN be unreasonably easy but you don't have to play it that way. I like that you can choose how difficult of a time you are going to have. I think the Rizon bug got fixed too or at least I never froze him and he didn't glitch any of the five times I played through. The bosses are way too easy and the game could use more tool tips or a better tutorial than tablets on the walls that you might not notice. Also, don't tell me about a second part to my adventure without there being one. Not the best game I have played on kongregate but better than many other games I have played on here. Fix the bug and maybe (to satisfy the people who need the game to be a certain way) buff melee or have a melee only mode or something. I liked it but it could be a lot better if time is taken to expand it. 3/5

Maybe this game needs user made floors, and then you can do like user challenges, where you fight 10 floors of user made levels
