if you have the setup rr
bg
bg
rrgbrr
and connect the bottom gb you get a 5 chain instead of a 6- even though they make a 6 chain in a straight line

Fierce battles through the underworld, the world's end, the realm of chaos.
"Oh, look" *stops to pick up some dusty coal*

good game, its nice to have a change and be able to sell in your own shop, though the gameplay on adventures is not new or unique, its still fun and does have a twist with the treasure chests. 4/5.

Best attack setup for later levels: Highest damage melee weapon available currently(example- nymph's spellbook[40dmg]), ice, fire, energy, poison storms, wealth and eternal rage(these spells allow you to wipe gem table in every turn) use storms to clear table, wealth to remove coins and build treasure chance(150+ is average). Then use eternal rage to max out rage pool(bigger pool=better)and attack until you are out of rage. And repeat. In this setup you can easy kill any enemy. ALSO----> guide to beat Unholy Temple First you have to pay debt and get reward gloves and hat. Hat gives you 80% chance to heal on math3, glover regeneration 3. Then grind River's End(every adventure location provide different variety of items) and check loot. You need to wear certain items to get 100% heal math and highest possible regeneration(I've got 7 per turn). Wear Nymph's Spellbook, Eternal rage, Fire and Ice Storms(Energy and Poison are awarded later) and Wealth(other 2 spell slots aren't important).

Would be nice if there was somewhere on the combat screen that told how many gems of each kind is currently on the board, since quite a few spells either gives damage or in some other way draw their strength from this number, otherwise great game, nice work.

Airking Bow is undeniable the weirdest and useless weapons of all... Damage:2, Rage Cost:58, and Extra Turn Chance only 3.

Glitchy/Laggy/Spelling issues/Beyond repetitive/uncreative/So many items are unclear/This game needs a lot of work. Have LOVED all undefined's games except this one. 2/5. Can't wait for the next edition of My Pet Protector.

So, super-duper glitch that helps immensely during the grind-fest before unholy temple.
For spells, you need (at least) cold snap, but having sneak attack as well helps.
What to do: Go to any earlier level (Try it on an easy level first). For every enemy, do this-
1) Raise his treasure level to 100+
2) Get his HP down to where you can kill him with your weapon in one hit
3) Max your cold and poison mana
4) Match until he attacks, then attack with your weapon. It should be your first turn after he attacks
5) Use Cold Snap until Ice Mana is gone
6) Use Sneak Attack (and attack) until Poison mana is gone
7) Attack one final time with your weapon
If all of this goes well and you do this for each enemy in the level, you get about 1.5 pages of inventory items to sell in your shop for around 10,000G (give or take, based on how many enemies there were, how much you raised their treasure level to, and how much mana you have)
Rate up if this wall of text helped any!

Poison Storm, Energy Storm, Fire Storm, Ice Storm, Treasure Seeker and Eternal Rage ... Let's you cycle through just about all the gems so you never run out of mana, are doing lots of spell damage. Don't forget to swing with your weapon. Can breeze through any level like this.

Most games of this kind allow the player to idly level up a single trait to easily beat the rest, but EoA manages to keep a good balance between selling to get power and battling to sell better. I gave this game a 4/5 for being colorful and quite original. Then I learnt how to combine my spells into complex combos and 5/5 wasn't enough.

you need to add a percent instead of just numbers for things like crit. chance. i dont know wheter or not 6 mean 6 percent or 60 percent or what so please edit that

So...is there a counter or anything that shows how many treasure points/credits/whatever you've gotten in a match? Cause going for certain items seems to be total guesswork.

its a cool concept bot it needs balanceing, gosh it kills me to sit there and get hit 30 times then i have to save up for boss and it half's damage for 3 rounds, well thats the first anyway

Just a couple of things...
1) Touch of Midas is buggy... I couldn't move anything after using it.
2) Check your copyrights. The many eyes around a single large eye Beholder and the mindflayers may be be unique copyrights to Wizards of the Coast. I'd hate to see you and/or Kongregate get in trouble for copyright violations with them.

So physicists have long thought that energy can neither be created nor destroyed. Yet one of the very first spells you get here is "Create Energy."
Take that, physics!

I love the premise. Guy hits you with a sword, you... play a game until you get so angry you finally hit him back. Guy hits you with a sword, you keep playing with your pebbles, he hits you some more, you keep playing with your pebbles until the game, not the guy with the sword, angers you enough to decide to hit him back.... hmmm... it's too bad I can't focus my real-life rage at playing a game into the Internets, I'd tear through this game with that much rage...

This shopkeeper/dungeon adventure reminded me of recettear - An Item Shops Tale.
Story line is exactly alike the only thing different is that the cute fairy helper is being replaced by the old wizard man.

Although a nice game overall, there are a large number of particles in the opening screen and throughout the game which produce lag.
This would be worth playing if you remove the particles.

Last Question: If I don't care to pay off the debt (and can end the game without it).. and I can't buy weapons/armour/relics... then what is the point of gold/gold ??? Doesn't that make this game nothing more than a grind fest of the exact same game (bejeweled) ??

Best way to win, get the 4 storms and warlord. Wealth also helps a lot in early stages when you dont have all 4 storms. Then get a very very high damage per rage useage weapon (mine was 40 for 15 rage). Stack +damage on your gear as much as you can and still survive and after initially matching a few, you dont have to match at all. Whichever mana you're short, you just hit that storm and it'll usually fill it at the cost of the other mana. 4 storms used one after the other will fill all mana and will allow for 2 or more warlords.

The Midas Touch spell is occasionally broken with Fire Mana. Coins are replaced iwth Fire Mana tiles but the tiles don't match. On the next turn the matched tiles will simply disappear giving no mana.

Is there a reward for paying off the debt? Do you get any items or anything? When in debt-free mode, do you just not get the rewards? I want to know before fully committing to a file.

can anyone quickly explain to me what the 'increase income from matching by 10%' does? does that mean every time i match a setof 3 or more gems that i earn a few coins?
