i think i would like it, but it's just too hard to get into. i think the protector series goes down with each new release, too much new stuff and not user friendly

help me understand attack speed - is it the frequency of attacks (attacks per unit time) or the period length of attacks (units time per attack)?
a / t = f
or
t / a = T

i like this one better then the other protector games, but there's no way to train extra, wich makes it extremely hard sometimes to just go and complete a map without having to search wich skills to optimize, weapons and armor to use, and so on, would like to see that changed

Well congratulation i played all Protectors game but i don't liked them... but this one is rock... i don't know why but i love it!!! Congratulation again i hope the next protector be too same like this :P

i dont get it, i equip my guys in the blueprints place, then when i play a game, they are still using their default equipments stuff

I love this game its so cute and i like the resources idea, even though the monsters go quite fast but it's not an issue if you have enough little protectors :)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Apparently, if you use 'Target Unslowed' your protectodoll will target enemies above the gathering target. If the enemies are gone, it will resume gathering resources. If you found this usefull: plus [+] if this is still working

Either this game is too hard or I suck too much... either way I'm not enjoying this even though I loved most of the other Protector games.

Oh, another thought on things being done right: I really appreciated that the lack of resistances made it easy to see what to prepare for at a glance.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
its too hard, i need to be able to level up my units. not just give them new armor and weapons. or at least have them keep some of the armor.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
are you working on a cute, chibi, kawaii, omg i am gonna die from cuteness version? I can't decide how much I like it....... lol.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
There should be more units like miners and woodcutters that harvest resources-anyway,not as good as the other protectors but still a good game

cute. really like the music to it.. XD although graphics + layout wise could be better with more thought to it. it seems quite clutered. and I agree with alot of other ppl's comments about functionality.

Great game! Don't let the retarded people discourage you. I like the direction. Only thing I think it needs personally is some kind of minute bonus for achievements to make the game a little bit easier.

I don't quite know how to say this, but this game simply isn't good. Compared to the other Protector games, this game simply looks like an early concept that just went wrong somewhere in development. The narration, although acceptable in some cases, simply doesn't do anything for the game; If anything, it just makes it worse. The Blueprints system needs to be re-worked a bit if it's ever used again, especially since you basically need some of them to get through specific levels. In addition to these things, give a reason to re-play levels, aside from seeing how much easier it is with new blueprints. Otherwise, I hardly even see a point to keep them open after the player finishes them. Overall, any sequels to this game would need to be incredibly re-worked before release, if for no reason other than to maintain the respect people have for the Protector title. That is, if they still have any after playing this. 3/5 for effort, I look forward to the next Protector game.

why does undefined keep churning out the same repackaged trash over and over again? why can't they grow some fresh ideas? I mean they got rid of those crappy maps they've been using since the original protector, and what did they replace them with? EVEN CRAPPIER maps. with poor unit placement as an added bonus. then as a further bonus they made the game mechanics more complicated than necessary--harvesting materials? who has time for that?--and dumbed down the game interface. why are we playing with children? what's the point? it's not like my pet protector, guys, it's just dumb cartoons. this game is like a caricature of the original protector.

i love this game. it would be cool if you could mix this with protector 2's upgrade system and protector 3 and 4's achievement bonus system. it's kind of sad that the top comments on this game are all negative. 6/5 :)

You're trying a little hard to have a light-hearted game. You could make this a much better game just by cutting out some of the baby-talk narration. Sorry to be so harsh, I love your series, but... Yeah.

Interesting idea, but not playable. I beat the first level. Couldn't beat the second. Tried the second again. And again. And again. And again. Again. Again. Again. OK, enough, I give up.

This is awful. This is essentially the first in many graphic design school/advertising corporate shit games that rip off amateur success games.
Vote this game down. It's garbage. Support your local kid game designer.

Great game. Nice addition to the series. my only problem with it is the quit button is too close to the play button, i keep accidentally hitting quit.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I beat 7 levels, have only one option left for which level to do next, and no combination of techniques or skill upgrades will allow me to beat it. Which makes me sad, cause I liked the game up to this point.

If you have a good enough normal build to begin with, you can use it on the roadrunner map, too, making 3/4 identical. The only variant that necessitates a different strategy is scarcity, because you simply do not have the same resources to start the same. However, harvesting is incredibly easy once you get used to it. I usually end my normal maps with 100-150 extra wood, because I felt like harvesting extra. This means that I can generally use my exact same strategy for scarcity maps as well, just with a slightly different start. In conclusion: All map variants except scarcity are a waste of time and incredibly boring. Find more varied/unique concepts, or remove them altogether.

Also, the level variety... is kind of useless. Drainage maps? Same creeps as normal, with no weaknesses -- to make this map possible, normal must be completable without even paying attention to elements. Roadrunner maps? Same creeps as normal, but faster. To make this map possible, the normal map just seems incredibly slow... (I was wondering why the creeps moved so damn slow on the field of dreams... then I beat it and saw the roadrunner) Sudden death maps? If you're any good at the game you'll do the exact same thing as in normal maps. The only actually challenging variant is the scarcity map, which I somewhat enjoy, though a simple respec to craftsmanship makes these maps fairly easy as well. Two of the four variant maps can be completed with a strategy/build identical to the first time you complete the map.

To harvest, place warrior in a place where there is many surrounding material. Forge woodcutter's axe and there, faster...

It's interesting to see that the highest rated posts are the ones from people who obviously weren't happy with the fact that it isn't exactly the same as Protector IV. Surely if you want the same game again just go and play that instead... :/
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I think it's much, much better than the rest of the series. It's just a shame a can't seem to deal with the first scarcity level. If I attack the first wave, most get through, if I harvest so I can upgrade they all get through... :S I've been investing all my points in toy drops...
