Excellent form of wasting your time...play this game!
I am playing for the last 8 hours...now here 3:50 AM!
And to quit the all time MISSED message, it´s not a casual game, you must play maybe 2 or 3 hours to understand that you must go to the menu called SCHOOL and then go for the bottom left corner and buy MIXED COMBAT to increase your fighting level, all in one, Combat and Magic Attack and Defense togheter increasing.

I wish I knew the mechanics of this game a bit more and make something a bit more balanced rather then trying go pure specially having gone termp, and humility which gets stacked heavily early on from rest.

What?! A full set of the godly armors that a master tailor can make will give me roughly 90% resistance of everything?! Goodie, let's make one!! But wait, even though my tailoring skill is maxed, I have to go to the knitting school to make it? And I still have to pay pay money for the course, even though I'm too lazy to even try making it three times out of four? And even if I try making it (for which I need to pay more money) and it says 50% success rate, I'd fail three times out of four? And once I do succeed, I end up making boots twice in a row? Huh? Pay more money for adding enchantments, with such a low success rate? Oh, I see, I need to work as a bookworm or a magician test subject for two years and nine months to max out that skill? And what success rate will it give me? You know what, FORGET ABOUT IT.

@wyrd42 You're right, but the game throws you into a bunch of menus with no sense of direction or upfront explanation of what anything does. So I went into the "Testing Grounds." Seems like a logical course of action, right?

It would be helpful if you could lock special attacks as well. I.E. I want to smunch him 20 times before I attack spam.

To the many complaining about hit percentages: You aren't supposed to go into the dungeons until you have built up some. Use the starting options that give you building supplies and build a good barracks, then train a few times and you will hit more than miss. Your hit rate is based on combat skill and tactics versus enemy's defense skill, so as they get tougher you need higher stats, which you train for with the money and materials you get from working and early dungeons.

When you're in the shop, I wish it would show your character stats and inventory too. That would be really helpful. Rate [+] if you think this would help.

Gotta agree with everyone else. You miss too effing much for this to be 'fun'. Here's a preview of this game:

It costs money to go to school cause, well, this is the medievel like game yes? Other than magic. They didn't even HAVE school in the darkages, and if they did, you bet they'd have to pay everything they owned to get in.

I'd like to see a pet protector 3 that incorporated what they have learned and developed in their other games such as Arkandian Crusade. This game is good for its genre, but that does not mean it cannot be improved in many ways.

You know what makes any game really annoying? Low hit probability. You know what this game has? Very low hit probabilities
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Noticing a lot of people pissed at probabilities and the like. If you want to stop missing, increase your combat stats. Honestly, how can you expect a 12-yr old with basically no combat experience to fight a skeleton? That aside, I think it would make sense that your combat stats would increase as you fought monsters instead of purely through training.

The lower left hand side of the main menu screen has the mute button! Click on the little red bar graph and drag it all the way down. Next to it is a speaker icon that mutes sound effects. Hope this helps!

Uh Oh I missed....where were the beta-testing-team? Such boring & long-lasting fights...so boring that I discovered Microsofts Solitaire-Games again.

I made all the choices to become a Magician, and then I found out that all my MP was lost with misses and I had to go with melee...

I'm truly disappointed... I just spent hours playing this game, yet I'm unable to unlock underground cavern... seems like a bug (according to forums). This game is fairly old now and that hasn't been fixed yet. I can live with sticky keys... but unlockable dungeons.... that's lame. 3/5 until issue is fixed.

The game is actually nice, however the lack of accuracy irritates me. Please fix it in Pet protector 3, if you are going to make it.
