level 3 is easy at best, the first hard is easy at best than it gets hard but you just go back re-play every level and get hero's, so all in all it is the easiest out of the three.

This game is too difficult, no one wants to commit the amount of time needed to level up by playing the same level over and over to be able to beat the next.

SSDD - waste time repeating the same tripe over and over again. Why should we play the same game with a couple minor tweaks when we could just go back and make something new? Try using creativity for a change instead of giving us reruns. 1/5 for the xerox copy game.

Grinding is doing the same thing over and over, for no real purpose.
Playing a level in an action game over and over is fine because you get better each time, but playing a level in a TD over and over to get XP is stupid.

The awards Elemental Focus and Elemental Mastery don't appear to work. I tried making all my units a single element, and I tried making one unit of each element, and neither award unlocked.

don't think I like this as much as the others. it's an interesting take, but it lacks the simplicity of the others.
before I get attacked for "not being able to handle it", no, complexity is not inherently good. complexity is a trade-off you make to improve gameplay. if it doesn't improve gameplay to complicate things, you should make the game simpler.

Since when was it cool to make flash games grinders? If I wanted to spend 3 hours building experience I would play some stupid MMORPG :p

i think this was moved to adventure/rpg section because its been changed to incorporate a more gradual level-up approach. anyway, for all you nerds whining about grinding look at the skills.... 2 of them lets you earn more exp and gold each map, hence less grinding.... its only at the beginning its slow

umm, i like it, but the skill of fast learner is bugged, um, there is WAY too much grinding involved compared to your last protectors, some of the awards aren't awarded, like elemental focus, once you fix those, then ill give it good rating, until then, 2/5

Looks like you remembered my old comment about how this opening song DEFINES the game itself.
Fleeting Scenes, along with Tepid Medium... addictive BGM. I haven't even played but I know I'll love this game
You rock Undefined.

3/5. I was pretty excited to play this, but once I started... well... =\
Some things that would be nice
1. A medium level that's actually medium difficulty
2. Less replaying the same level to level so you can beat the next level
3. Less exp needed to level?
I don't know, it might just make me look like a childish little kid who wants everything to be easy, but...yeah.

Okay, REALLY weird bug. Whenever I beat a level on this, or any of the other games, Pandora stops playing music. Any clue why this happens?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
ummmmmmmmmm, i got the fast learner skill, which gives you a 5% bonus to exp gained per map, but instead of a 5% bonus i only got 5%.
and instead of saying a real number it says "15,9.1" a comma and a period? really?
i love the protector games, but for Christ sakes, Ive played it for 2 hours and found 2 major bugs already. sloppppppppppy!

I liked the ! skill point per completet level MUCH MUCH more than the exp-grinding one. In the older model one would have to focus on tactics to get to the goal.. but that grinding is not thaat much fun.

Far too many bugs. And the third level, casually called "Medium", is anything but. I've played through the first two Protectors, and there's no way that's a medium hard level. The problem is that in this version of Protector, you haven't been able to level up by then, so you can't choose skills that will help you. Also the awards don't work. Overall 2/5 for a new coat of paint on top of the same old chassis with several pieces of the engine broken.

xgrassx: even with the right build, the 3rd stage is impossible without grinding the first 2 a bit until you can afford a hero. That's pretty lame.

i think if he had wanted to keep the challenge, go back to the 1st one where specific elements had specific abilities
it takes a lot more planning and strategy, if you want a specific ability but the enemies are strong to that element, you have to plan out the map setup before you start
it just adds more challenge

the awads are buggy
i didnt get elemental focus or bad looser ( i know i died 100 times because i played a lvl with 30 lives 4 times through just to die)

oh, guys by the way, if you read the "selling units" part in the protecterpedia, it sais that the creator didn't let you sell the people on purpose because "unlike other simaler appearing games, protector offers a lot of in game planning....... and it said that he/she did that on purpose

crap. this is crap. i don't understand why we need an exp. system and awards and all that shit. We need a game, not a bunch of options to hide the fact that this games suck.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Horrible, compared to the first two. The xp system, and the gold, turn what should be a challenging defense game into a grinder. Why, undefined, why?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
sweet i just got a score of 5645647886856867 and 1,000,000 in my treasury. and im not lying, the only problem is my game is broken now...
and i didnt cheat, it just screwed up
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
people say its hard but once you discover the right build its actually easy you may have to repeat a level 10 times to find the right build but it works out and very very repetitive and a skill tree like last game would be nice
