Good to know Spyke. I'm trying to think how much I was getting, 2k or something at one of the levels. Getting to level 7 and paying for the upgrade still would take some grinding, nut definitely worth, there is excellent rate of return for you investment. I even had Bob coming in and doing considerable damage.

Great game, but I wish they would just combine protector 1 and 3. Get the cool things from 3, and keep the leveling up type things from 1. still, 5/5.

I take back the comment about upkeep being to expensive. But I think getting levels should be much easier. I had Electron Ed at lvl 7 and Bob the Builder at lvl 5 (and a couple others guys at lesser power) that I used to easily manhandle the game. I did more advanced maps when I needed money, but beat the game at level 16 with 10 skill in fast learner! What a waste!

this game is fun. but man do u have to grind to get xp and get heroes levels up. took me 2 hours to raise a hero 5 levels. im not complaining cause he beasts now lol

That may be how it is written Skype, but I think we need to move beyond catering to the hard core grinders, and throw bones to medium grinders. There are a lot of medium grinders, and using them will make a good game like this one more popular faster, than just saying here is something just for hardcore grinders... There aren't that many that are really going to last until level 40, especially at the meager rate of increase after 10. Why design a game for 20 people when you design it for 200 with something like this. Are the hardcore grinders going to play a bit less long? Probably. Are they going to enjoy it less, probably not.

Beegum-
1) As the guide says, all the extras are geared toward people who play for longer times. So in reference to heroes, you're not supposed to have all of them at super high levels unless you have a lot of extra gold (Which can easily be done with 10/10 levels in map completion gold and hero wages)
2) See number one, in reference to leveling. If you wanted to, say, max all (or many) of your skills, you would level exp first. Since the level growths (for skills anyway) is semi-linear, it would actually help in the long run (Two skill points is probably around lowering all future levels by a map).
So, if you're going to level 40 even, getting exp first would shorten that time considerably.

The impact of fast learner must be greatly increased, there is no reason to waste points on it! If you have 10 points in it you should end up at least 15 levels higher than someone who did not take the skill.

you really need to mill early to get good things, personally i prefer gemcrafts way of milling levels by introducing new modes

Why 7 hero slots? They cost a ton to upkeep, even if you don't use them. Maybe its just because you can't have the premium heros you really want. Which is really too bad, you should be able to min/max it ultimately so that you can have those guys. Really, I premium upkeep, at least, is outrageous.

Brilliant game with true depth of strategy, one thing that annoys me is that having completed only 3 of the 20-something maps my only option available is a hard map which is a rather odd learning curve. Or maybe im just saying this because I've died on this map a lot now :P

heros are good for the effects (like that necro mage guy is awesome and the bob guy is helpfull too (also a quick addition when a big wave is comeing and you cant upgrade normal troops) but overall they arent failures you need to level them up

LOL only hero that is slightly useful is Bob the.... reducing paving costs after u buy em its pretty sweet... the rest just fail at life

it's hard. but a good strategy is to look for a type which has nothing bad with the enemy. try to look for absorbing enemys. don't put down alot of the type that is bad against it.

I just completed it, it's not "too hard" to beat it, just need to nail down the strategies (target enemies' weakness) and apply it to the different layouts.
But yea, the point and hero system is pathetic, the rewards are too little and there are too many unit blockers in the maps which just limits strategies.
