Cinderxox, here is how I did it:
Put 2 warriors on the bottow squares of the first row:
1. Physical-Consecration-Generalist(always)-Archer-Speed(always)
2. Energy-Berserk-Generalist(always)-Archer-Speed(always)
Level those 2 guys a bit(till they become archers or at least a level before that), than fill the whole first row with warriors. 1 Physical is enough, make the others Energy and watch them get tons of experience. Then upgrade those who got enough exp. to Archers.
I also used basic warriors for backup. Tons of basic warriors on back lines really helped to save lives on level 14.

Cause see if you do Consecrate, then you donty have to worry bout the Absorption boss, and since your an archer n ranged its gunna be hard if even possible for any phys guys to get by you. If for some reason they do, thats why you get heroes behind the archer. Plus if you have the archer be your ONLY unit, he can get Unholy Might and own the fina boss in like, 5 hits.

Cinder, what you do is you get a Energy Dexer with Consecrate to become an Archer.
Put him on the first row, bout 3rd down from where they spawn.
Have him be the ONLY soldier.
If you want, get a few heroes on the back lines to catch any leaks, but I doubt you'll have any. It worked for me.

Having trouble with little forest level :S i always die when the rat men come in on the energy levels ... any help ??

second level is easy, just do the first row full of mages, then for the rest of the level go sword, mage, sword, mage

hmm when it says acumalate over 20k gold over campaign map does it mean u have to have 20k gold like not used or spent cause ive spent 79.43k gold soo im now puzzled...

no (or jsut a very lil bit) better graphics than protector 1... which kind op dissapoints me... i expected more... anyways, good game 4/5
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I like the game...both defender and protector...I think it's a bit anticlimactic to have to repeat levels to attain the skills available. I think there should be either more levels or perhaps different levels or goals within a level
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I mean really, who has all the time necessary to repeatedly play until they have enough of the skills to beat all the levels. Then throw in another couple weeks to get all the awards. I'm going back to playing Protector 1
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
billr... allright. i'll try that. But collecting extra levels will be boring. i wanna deal more damage and kill more monsters. Isn't that what game like this should be about?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Oyabin...the upgrades are unbalanced for sure but far from useless. Try just leveling up the one that gives 2 life per level up. 20 extra lives on any map is freaking unreal. your best combat upgrades come from unlocks. This game is way easier than Prot 2. Agree the heroes suck. Also never get necrosis. 20% necrosis does not make up for the extra speed damage and special ability you get from holy light.

SirMikeCoolStuff: Do me a favor and look into things before you open your mouth ok? The Protector series is not "stolen" or ripped off from "Defender". Its the same developer.

i was really looking forward to a new protector and im terribly disappointed now that its here. Why?
1.: Skill upgrades are hardly worth the effort. (e.g. 1% more damage per level of "passionate fury" is way too little.)
2.: the level descriptions are mostly false. many "hard levels" are easier than most "medium levels"
3.: there is abosultly no balance between the different types of damage. You can forget about poison and just concentrate on fire, which is really boring.
4.: all in all, the game is just way too hard. "Reclaiming the throne" was already too hard, but this is ridiculous
5.: the heroes are so expensive, that its easier to play the levels without them.
To sum it up, Protctor used to be a graet game, but with Protector III they really managed to bugger entirely.

Also - It seems as if Fire is the main element in this game O_o Just get a hellalotta fire guys cause theres really not many enemies. I mean theres physical & energy guys on the stage im doin but nothings strong to fire...

Actually Silmarilen, I found a couple stages with poison weak enemies just after I posted that... Lighthouse & another one... cant remember though.
But really... Games great, its just Poisons gettin no love :(

I'm playing this from time to time for a special reason, but I gotta say, this feels like a crazy person made it. Why?
(1) Everything is vague. The actual upgrade benefits are clear as mud.
(2) What is clear, is minute. This game operates on +1 or +1%, and EXP is a decimal. The developer himself notes in places that crits and such should not be relied upon, just appreciated. Well, so the upgrades don't have much to do with strategy. So unlike other defending games, choosing the right upgrade feels more like a vague, senseless puzzle and less like a rewarding level up kind of thing.
(3) The developer insists "armour" has a "U" in it, which is not true in the United States. Fine if you're from a place they include the U, but you should direct that criticizing energy into your own game. Specifically, why does it feel like the game is made of stingy, obscure power-ups? This is distinctly un-fun.

Humor me here.
The elements are...
Physical, Fire, Cold, Energy, Poison.
Yet in EVERY WAVE, the most COMMON STRENGTH...
Is Poison.
Why even have poison in there then? Filler strength?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I think that the player should be able to upgrade more in between each level.. The "Easy" levels don't seem to be getting any easier and I don't feel like I'm getting better people. But anyways awesome game, i've been playing it forever

If you like this try defender. It's like the prototype of the protector games. No badges but if you can beat green acres you are a god.

to nattemann, i think its because there are the awards and one says that the first unit that you put down gets +1 base damage. maybe thats it.
