5/5 great game, faved
one issue,
I understand absorbing heat, cold, electricity, and even (sort of) poison.
However, there is not excuse for having your head chopped off with a sword being beneficial! None!

It really is odd that this is the only game in the protector series without badges on this site, especially since it has a rating over 4 (seemingly a rarity for badged games lately).
The game is a fun defense/strategy game like its kin, like the levelling system, hopefully one of these days it'll get a bit more recognition.

My gamebreaker: the map with 30 waves. Gives tons of Gold and XP, and once through the first five, you can upgrade your units to a single element. (Cold has ten waves vulnerable to it, AND has no waves except the first five immune to it!) So, four starting Warriors at the corner spaces, and spend money on creating four mages behind them (to take care of the flying waves before they become archers). Then pave the tiles right behind those mages (there's only 1 each, due to ruins in the way), and then pave the only other corner tiles and put two more warriors on them. Upgrade as needed, and you get thousands of gold and XP.

Fun game, but too many bells and whistles. Skills are useless (given the effort/reward ratio) and should be streamlined out of the game. Likewise for heroes.

From the description: "Featuring a brand new campaign, the return of advanced hero units along with a whole host more Protector III is the final game in the Protector series. Strategic defense gameplay with a great RPG twist."
This isn't the final game?

Dang, I just played Protector IV and thought it was kind of slow but this one takes the cake. Is this game Korean? It takes forever to level and earn money, and even then the upgrades are largely insignificant. I played 4 levels and I have not been able to buy or level anything yet. I'm out.

Tandar special ability (+5% bonification for each adjacent tree) means each adjacent tree to the heroe current position or each adjacent tree to the map being played.
I think this ability is not working for me!

to BurnerDutch: that only shows you their str/weaknesses, their hp and their immunities. it doesnt show you how much armor they have, and armor can be a huge deal (especially if u use alot of mages)

Earthy- you level up your heroes in the tavern, not whilst you're actually playing a map. Just go into the tavern and click on the hero you want to level up, and if they have enough experience the level up option should be there.

In reply to Stilvanus;
You can see stats/armour during waves if you click one of the squares in the top right of the screen(the ones that represent enemies hitpoints)
In Protector 1 i could just click an enemy but in part 3 this doesn't seem to work anymore, guess its changed to clicking the hitpoints-icons

My only beef with this game is that they made it annoyingly hard to look at something's armor. If u miss the popup window at the beggining of the wave, there is no way to tell. Otherwise, very fun and challenging

Quick racetrack guide: Starting as far down as possible, build the following number of mages for each wave, then when you hit 20, max upgrades starting from the very back heading towards spawn:
2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 13, 20 and start upgrading in the rear.
This should maximize experience getting to your backmost mages, and allow you to create a 'backstop' for the last 3 levels.

I recommend level up the Fast Learner skill before anything else, and then the Banking one, If anyone want to have the richie rich award...
