Have you ladies considered maybe the game is not mean't to be played through in 2 hours. Maybe, the awards is for people who plays it, alot. I haven't tried heroes yet, but spent a good 3 hours on the game, and have no complaints so far. You guys are just used to getting everything the easy way. Go play tetris.

its not even as good as the last one. exp and money are earnt too slowly and you should be able to redistribute your skills.

Oh also for the Heroic Efforts achivement, how on earth are you supposed to get that? At cheapest you can't get any map with enough money to buy a hero from the start, that's just absurd. Some of the other stuff like critical supremacy seem useless for what it's worth. A measley additional 1% chance for triggering over 1000 critical hits? It doesn't feel like much of a reward, same with a lot of the other ones too.

Fast learner? Is that a joke? "Oh hey, now I can get the same skill I wanterd anyway and it'll only cost me 15% more than it would anyway!" What kind of jerk makes a system like that? I've revised my vote from 5 to 1 on the fact that the creator is either an idiot or a jerk for making what should be a helpful ability into a severe negative.

Not particularly difficult but I'm not too keen on the achievement system to upgrade your characters and powers. Also not getting any money back from heroes if you get rid of them but oh well. I never really used them much.

Here's a little bug report;
In the "Protectopedia" it says "try playing some simple random maps to build up your skills".
I believe it should be changed to "try grinding your ass off for hours for a few skill points, so that grinding for even more skill points because some maps are still too hard goes a tiny bit faster."
I think you catch my drift...

How are you supposed to earn the Heroic Efforts achievement???? Even if you get your hero to cost 170g, you don't get a map that starts with 170g. You always have to put up ta least one mage/warrior! Duh......

beengalas, its a different game from protector 2 ok? you dont get +1 skill each map u beat this time. its more flexible and gradual. and yes you will have to replay earlier maps to get more exp. its called "farming". get over it already

Bernat: The problem is that it is completely useless since you won't have any chance whatsoever to maximize it to earn anything from it. As said, I have completed 19 maps and I am still level 3. I got +2% damage, yay...

Unfinished games. I liked the two earlier version, but this one still needs a lot of tweaking and balancing. I gave it a fair try, completed 12 maps or so. And I am still level 3. The amount of exp needed should be divided by ten.
The awardsystem is a nice idea, but doesn't work. Takes to much time and focus just for a single award. Skill tree is to be prefered. The balancing isn't good. I manage to skip the grinding of the first level due to spamming mages, almost never upgrading them. Perhaps in the end to counter the last levels.
The heroes doesn't work. Way to inefficient to be at all useful. Nice idea, but need a complete rework.
Add easy/normal/hard. Many people get frustrated by the high difficulty and lack of strategick choices.
It feels as this one was thrown out there. As I said, the two first was great games, a slightly different then the others, but this one. So far I give it just 2/5. It is broken. :(

ChichiriMuyo: When you buy Fast Learner, you don't have to pay more exp to buy other skills, you get 5% more exp for completing maps. The description says it all.

And the game is hard - like the second version of the Protector but yet doable. You just need a good strategy of what to use, when to use, when to upgrade etc.
This game is easily doable. You are just doing it wrong. I do, however, agree with the xp/gold thing.

I have beaten 7 maps now and had no problems whatsoever. I have beaten the other Protector games too so probably it gives me an idea of how to play. Great game! Enjoy it a lot. 5/5.

the first 2 lvls were easy but then when going to moderate it became a little bit to hard.

operator - to beat map 2 just place 3 mages in a diagonal pattern near the entrance, make them all fire.... and then build a few warriors on those squares behind them sticking out. you'll be fine

i hate this game number 1 & 2 were better.
just decrease the diffilculty by a bit and make the game acctually playable. I cant even get past map 2 and i ve been farming on level 1 for atleast 30 minutes.

Undefined: The first protector was the best. if you made this game LESS DIFFICULT (much like the first) with all the cool add ons this might actually be fun.

i cant get the Flawless Victory achivment(in game) i keep defeating level 1 and i dont get it even without losing a life.
Also i think game is too hard but thats just me.

BEST MAP FOR FARM GOLD/EXP is 'The Race Track' - only 10 waves, all monsters have same weakenss (energy), this map is good for exping our hero
build 6-7 mages + hero and hf ;P

I'm not having the 2 hero limit error. I am however getting the same flash player bug on failing some maps. (Specifically orc rage.) I'm using I-Explorer.

I have 4 heroes but it only lets me click on the first 2 in the tavern to level them up? anyone know how to fix this?

First off GREAT Game... except for the fact that the Heroes (prepare for a rant) cost too much to hire, cost too much to place, cost too much to level up(in both xp and gold), leveling up dose little, you cant save up enough to place them until late in the level where they don't do enough if anything(and can't get any xp), and just having them(pre-placement) doesn't do anything so if you don't place them you are wasting gold because they demand their pay even if you lose...
So the big question is why have them? they are a great idea and I would love to see them in the next installment only make them cheaper and/or have them do something to give me a reason to have them more, often than not I find myself in more trouble placing a hero for 200 gold then if I just leveled my normal guys up more.

Very dissapointing, riddled with bugs, XP, gold, level gain, award gain too slow. In game gameplay is the same as PII except now you have heroes and are taxed 200 gold every time you use them and 20-40 gold when you dont.

The biggest fix to implement - ingame you say play on kong for awards, etc... and more specifficly, DIFFICULTY levels. You only have the game set up for normal... implement easy and hard levels already..... dont say something is there when it isnt..................

Sadly seems to be a step backwards from the previous games. The level/skills mechanic isn't nearly as fun; XP and gold gain is far too slow, and there's no reassign. Even unit XP gain seems slower. As for bugs, on failing a map something routinely breaks, sending firefox CPU usage to 99 until an adobe flash "A script is using too many resources, do you want to stop it?" error appears (the browser session is still hosed until reload either way).
