sry about that, at the enterance of little forest the third tile pave it and place a mage there... most maps have it where having a mage with infliction on it makes the map too easy... but if you need to have the -1gold achievement go to desert pass and just strategically place mages and warriors but you need to pave one tile and place a basic unit there... you dont even need to upgrade a unit if you do it right... when you place the mage it should hit the enemies at the enterance as they are coming out... you might want to have a warrior guarding the exit (preferably at the end of the 4th column)... if you're lucky, or good, you should be able to train to get the legendary mage achievements...

I have only one trouble. It is very easy to train a warrior to legendary, but is almost impossible with a mage. If I place only one to the start, it is too weak and far too much enemies can pass through him than through a warrior, and if I place more, they share the experience and thus can't reach that. That's such a big shame because I could train ONE on 'Island of Woe', and a legendary mage with holy might is far more useful and powerful than any legendary warriors. I just don't know that how could I train mages to legandary.

Little forest make a mage at the start of the map (third tile from the top) upgrade it to cold and then poison... you'll be able to hit the master level with it... after that make sure you have warriors on the other side catch to stragglers... its also easier with the pave achievements

And, for anyone trying with little forest: Tacticians are a lot better for little forest than archers, considering that they eliminate almost all enemies with one strike, no one passes through them.

Butzzze: Little forest is has to be made with ONE warrior on the very first field, who will reach level 10 around the 12th wave, if the other warriors are on the very end, so they won't drain experience from the archer.

rofl i looked on a forum for this game, sombody did the math and figured out that "fast learner" the skill is counterproductive. apperently you get 5% more exp but every time you upgrade a skill you need 20% more...

Yeah, finally Little Forest! lol @ medium difficulty.. took me nearly 30 attempts. My solution: two archers(physical, consecrate, speed..) on the very first fields at the entrance, fill the rest with warriors from level 10 on.

In little forest, the easiest way to victory is to build a warrior, physical, consecrate, generalism, archer, speed, generalism, speed, holy vision. Now, a few waves before the energy ones come, start using your excess gold to pave the first row and put some more warriors there, and upgrade them to energy, consecrate, and upgrade them as needed. About wave 12 or 13, pave another row and place another row of warriors, and then another during wave 14 if they get past and your archer hasn't reached legendary rank yet. It is recommended to have some life skills for this.

Buggy. My un-upgraded warrior does 200 damage? (and continues to increase even tho i don't upgrade him) My other un-upgraded warrior only does 1/5 that?

great game some nice new added features from the last one, however I would echo so many comments here in that the skills/awards and to some exents the heroes, take far too much time for too little gain. Still a gd game, just could have been better with a few beta testers.

I can't believe it! I've just beaten map 'little forest' with one warrior! I upgraded him with generalism, finesse,, rogue, unholy strength. I had about 15 warriors on the end of the map but only the final boss could pass through the rogue.

NorthDragoon: I doubt it. This protector is the easiest. I couldn't win just 4-5 maps in the first two but I could play this through quite easily.

@Frisk I can answer one of those questions. You have to level your hero's in the tavern. And you only get to keep their XP if you win the map.

I've found a few issues.
1. My hero (Sintar) won't level up
2. I've got over 1000 crits and didn't recieve the award
3. No range indicator when placing heroes
4. When placed, i don't see the hero benefits acting on my units (crit with sintar)
5. Exp System takes a long time for little benefit

This game's a lot harder overall than I remember the previous ones to be... but the difficulty does curve up so its bearable if you know what you're doing. I like the way the upgrades are now, its very organized, tho it makes it a bit harder sometimes when you're on a tight budget.

Love the new maps, not too keen on the grinding to get what used to be skills. I want to go back and replay maps with better skill points but the grinding to get to the awards is killing me. 5/5 for the actual maps, overall game 3/5. THe map editor is peachy keen though. Wish more people were uploading.

I like the gameplay but the progression is terrible, the awards take a decent time to collect and only give 1 dmg or 1% boost in something, and heros cost too much/take too long to train. cool game tho ^^
