The first two are some of my favorites on Kong. This one, I believe, is very inferior. Experience system is a good idea poorly implemented. I can get 5% extra XP, but each level costs 20% more XP to advance? The whole system leads to much much much less strategy and tons of pointless grinding on already beaten levels. Very boring. Boooo.

I like the Protector series, but some of the changes here confuse me. The previous skill system worked and made sense: you could boost your chance of beating a level you were having trouble with by beating another map. Now I have to beat multiple levels to get a reward, and the rewards seem mostly pitiful compared to what you could get in P2. Add on top of this the fact that I beat all the levels and still only got to level 4 (levelled to 5 after last map so I had 5 of a total 80 skill point allocated) and had 1 hero (necromancer I don't recommend him btw get someone cheaper) the rewards seem mediocre indeed. Why put grinding in this game? Once you know how to beat a level, you can keep doing it without thought. I like the idea of the Heroes but they're expensive to use and gimmicky because you don't need them to win at all. I can see how custom maps might balance some of this, because you can keep levelling and collecting heroes forever but the game should stand on its own.

Better than the 2nd, though would like more detail when upgrading a unit on what exactly its going to do. Like how much of a % its going to go up.

Typo in one of the awards: The Holy Crusader one says you need to upgrade five units with Holy Light, but then says Holy Might underneath it.

Do you really have to spend 200 gold just to place a hero on the map? Not too sure sicne they game has been updated 2 times since I fired my useless hero.

3/5, this was one of those games where ya didnt have to grind and where skills were a part of yar tactics of the level

For example, if you are having troubles with the third mission "Orc Rage", only about 4 or 5 waves are flying, instead of mindlessly spamming mages like in the first two protectors, try mixing in a few fire and lightning based warriors. Much better damage.

yeah the cost of heroes is amazingly high considering the crap gold you get per mission I just fired mine and went about my merry way. One thing to note in protector 3 is that mages no longer have that insanely overpowered skill tree... that combines with the flexibility of knights (consecrate is fantastic) makes this a much better balanced game class wise.

Well, I'm sure this has been mentioned already, but the level "soggy shipyard" claims to be 20 waves from the map, but is actually 15.

No reset button for skills! Come on, that was fixed way back in Protector I.
And the heroes cost wages even if you don't use them! Even if you look at a level and then immediately quit. Is this game purposefully designed to be annoying?

i think the game needs to be balanced somewhat.... I've reached the 5th map and yet my exp is still lvl1 / no gold for hero. Its as if the skill bonus are totally ignored unless im actually expected to replay levels. The first/second game was well designed since you had to carefully consider which skill to put your points into depending on the map you were about to face. This time, the skill points seems to be just general added bonus as a reward for repeating the same level over and over again.
i suggest you lower the gold/exp requirements for levels and heroes...and then actually steepen the monster strength increasements between maps.

getting to level 2 experience opened up many new maps.
I think getting some xp/gold from failed attempts would be nice. so you dont have to grind training map lol

I like this one the best so far, in the protector series. Far from perfect (still a little too difficult, sometimes), but a fun way to waste some time. 4/5.

Delania, if you keep trying old levels over and over, new ones open up eventually. I have only completed 4 levels, but I have 17 levels available to play.

Might I suggest you tell us how many enemies are in the waves? You don't have to tell us in the wave guide, but when the box pops up for the wave, I liked when it told you how many to expect. :p

While I love the Protector Series, I liked having multiple map options. I'm at a point where I can only do Mountain Fire and it's irritating me. It'd be nice to do another map while I try to figure out my strategy.

Lost level exp would be good.
Pop-up of spalsh of acheving an award during the level would be good, or maybe an extra tab where you can see prograss towards 1 awars you tagged.
I realized that rpelayign levels for exp and awards was how to be able to beat other levels.
BTW the use 1 of every element award didn't turn-on after I did it!

Oh, another bug I'm sure you're aware of: fast units repeatedly get confused and walk off the road, and then need to waste a few moments turning around and getting back on track.

Interesting adaptation with the addition of heroes (seems like a knockoff of WarCraft 3 changes...). Overall, it still feels too much like the same game and I really don't feel like killing hours to replay the same thing.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
hmmm i think it still needs another improvement, replace the element 'cold' with 'ice' instead and maybe with the gold you can bye armor to improve stats and stuff but atm i put this game as a 3/5

I found a bug. On mine when I died it glitched and gave me like... Over a trillion points, and a million gold. But when I clicked to go back to the menu the game became unresponsive and crashed.
