for little forest just use 1 consecrated energy warrior and keep upgrading him asap, only damage. he'll get to unholy might by wave 13.
also a good way to get the might and glorious striker awards!

First set a energy mage hero with at least 100 dagmage and an another enery mage hero with at least 100 dagmage. then set the first row with physical warriors. then set Heimdal (hero) last. fter time you can fill in with more physical warriors.

the way I upgraded some units to Holy light was to place them at the beginning of the map, close to the entrance and the rest of the mages way back so they do not compete and kill the monsters. This way the one unit gets to hit most monsters.

It is entirely possible to upgrade units to the max. I have two of the four achievements for that, and am working on the other two. You simply need to find the longest map with the most bosses, and slow the final boss down so that you can get that final unit upgrade before you kill it. Massive Portal is excellent for mages, and can also be farmed for the dexer badges, though these are a little more based on luck (hoping the bosses come in on the right side of your map).

Dekasa makes a good point. The experience requirements for the uppermost levels of units needs to be scaled back. As it stands it is next to impossible to fully upgrade a unit, thus making some of the achievements unattainable.

My only problem with this whole game is that I always try to use as few units as possible, and I never once got a unit to their final level before a final boss.

yeah and have to agree with earlier post about xp-bought skills worth nothing except for plus lifes.
Awards given from statistics are nice though (even though collecting 300 units or 10 extra units takes time).
And probably the comment about the necro and holy units is right, I've not yet managed to get there...

Ugh, I had an amazing Save Game yesterday and for some reason its gone. I'm not interested enough to do ALL the grind again... You loose points for that.

It would be good if the enemies' armor rating could be seen when clicking on them, not just in the pre-wave popup (which gets forgotten easily).
Also, my hero says he gives +2damage to cold units when they level up - however their listed damage (when clicked on) is still the same as of other units. Is the damage there, just the text is not upgraded? would be nice to know...

The xp on this game is kind of pointless. I beat the whole game and am only level 5. Hardiness is the only thing worth putting any points into.
