This is good, but...would be better if you got the chance to choose an upgrade path for heroes.Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to Protector IV!

Not a big fan. The heroes are pointless. The skill upgrades are pointless and the nonlinear map makes the game too easy.
Everything needs to be completely rebalanced. The game needs to be harder which then will make he heroes and skills more useful.
As it is, most of the skills are pointless and gold is almost pointless.
Yes I use pointless too much, but the basic concept of this game is great, but the execution on this version failed.

lol.. I think there is a bug. even though the first mage I place does 12 damage and the second does 11, the second mage I place does more damage than the first mage even when I lvl up the first mage twice!

almost 1.15 million plays and no badges............while other games get badges a day or 2 after coming out...some of which dont even achieve above a 4 star rating.........

too much grinding -.-
adding grinding to the game spoils the straegy part.
-2 stars
so you end up at 3/5
instead of 5/5 wich the other protector parts had.

This game is addictive, totally agree that it needs badges though.
Although only specific units work well for most maps, it's really interesting to use different combinations to try out their effectiveness.

Suggestion!
Some of the language is unclear- take the special power ups that the hero's give you. It says "Gives X bonus every time they level up...." Who is "they?" Is it the Hero or the individual unit that is being buffed?

Undefined: You still leave out the poison element. In every game you make you hardly ever need to use it. It's usually fire/energy. Add more variety.

Odd the melee units seem almost like a waste of space for most of the maps, the fire melee hero doesnt even do anything, and very poison unfreindly monsters on most maps. Hey for a free game and for those to be my only complaints at all, you've done pretty good

you could play this game for a year before unlocking everything....for that reason 5/5 it's what i do when i'm wasting time

I hope the badges this game gets are retroactive, because I already blew about 15 hours on it. It's a little too hard, I have to keep playing the easiest level to get exp. and $$, but still a great game. The first two were awesome as well.

Originally I gave this game a 4/5. However, after going back and replaying the second Protector I realized that this one is more of a downgrade from Reclaiming the Throne. It supports grinding to gain skills and heroes unlike in its predecessors, which gave skill points for completing levels once, and did not heavily encourage replaying them for this reason. The custom maps feature was a good idea, but as it is a separate game and has its own fair share of aggravating glitches I can't really increase my rating because of it. Hopefully the next Protector, if there is one, will go back and look at what made the second Protector great and make slight improvements upon those things instead of adding unnecessary gimmicks such as heroes. This game took the series in an unfavorable new direction and isn't deserving of more than a 3/5 in my opinion.
