Just noticed that Infestious costs 1400 to hire, yet is exactly the same as Noxio, who costs 1000 to hire. The only difference is that Infestious has 1 less damage (so we're paying more gold, for less damage). Was this intentional?

Things I like: The award system and the leveling system and also the buying of heroes.
Things I dislike: The money earning system and the heroes really aren't all that useful.

this game doesnt need a "map editor" it need some great difficult map with up to 50 waves and an ass-kicking end-boss

Jorgonq - It shows the units wakness, just click on the wave number at the bottom.
Iblis - Glad someone has answered my question, I have the same problem, as i progress my units seem to get weaker, wasnt sure if it was because of qaining exp on the main menu.

On the bottom where it shows the waves for the level, showing the units information, like in Prot II would be nice. That way we could prepare a little in advance.

bug: when you get the award to let one unit start with extra base damage, it actually decreases it's damage. Just placed 2 warriors, the one with 21 damage was killing enemies in 1 hit, 22 damage took 2 hits (was on ice shelf if anyone wants to check this).

this game is super easy you just need to have a strategy and don't bother grinding ive finished every level except for 2 on my first try and im level 4heroes aren't even useful this game gets 3 from me

Play massive portal with speed archers upgraded to cold after the first 5 waves use mages to get out the flying units until your warriors upgrade to archer and oala a +2K exp and +4K gold farming map where you can lvl up heroes

What the point of wages, if when you have 2, wages can be 60g yet when you win a map, you get 33g???
Many numerical changes need to be made although i do like the addition of awards. Just make some of them a bit easier eg. Heroic effort.

I was wondering if any1 has this problem I have, no im not an alcoholic, I have like 7 heroes, but only the 1st 2 are upgradeable (moldrid and that emo guy) . When i enter tavern i cvant even click those others, pretty weird, or was it ment like that?

'Per level' means per level of the skill you have. So fast learner, when maxed, will grant 50% additional xp. Practical Paver would decrease paving cost by 10gp total. Etc.

i dont like playing strange circle, i always freak out every time the enemies ring around i keep thinking they're about to pass through. plus you get no gold or exp for winning, but i guess its a cute nice short small map just for kicks. ice shelf is good for hero exp i think.... so is island of woe, you can put out like all 7 heroes in island of woe, you get that much gold during it

the race track really is the easiest map in the whole game once you figured it out.

list of things for creator of game to do: let us level up all 7 heroes. add hard-core mode (or secret unlocked levels). somehow dont make the exp requirements for new skills accelerate at 20% when the fast learner only gives +5%. make it a little less impossible to ever actually level a unit up to legendary. thats all for now that i can think of.....

ive got nearly 57 tiles paved now and i still dont get the achivment and the gold decrease.

The game is still horrenduously flawed.
I don't want to spend 20 or so minutes to find out I failed because I didn't perfectly upgrade that specific unit in that specific way in that specific turn >.>...

This is ridiculous. There is no balance in this game what. so. ever. Heroes demand wage even if you lose a map but dont get xp for it? g fking g. The first games was great, this is terrible 1/5

race track is the easiest map in the game. and it gicves like 950 gold everytime you beat it.
just start from the back. upgrade everybody to lvl 2 only. and when everything is full star upgrading them higher.

I love the Protector series - but this version was far too short and too easy. It looks like the developer got bored half-way through making the game and just released it - because they developed the skills and tavern but you can win the game without the heroes and with only using 2 skill points (and it's probably easy enough with none). The previous poster who said Race Track is ridiculously easy is correct - great way to earn exp/gold if you're struggling - although I see no reason why anybody would struggle. PLEASE keep adding new levels to this game, keen players could send you custom maps and you could make them formal levels.

the race track is easy as hell. i agree with everyone who says this game is too easy and too short. IT NEEDS A HARD CORE MODE. why would you ever use quickspell for anything? its crap and will make you lose. always go for max damage for all classes if you want to win anything. in race track just put like 4 mages in a square and upgrade the top first then the back. and make 2 noob mages behind them for the small orcs..... race track = gold/hero exp farming map, NOT difficult unless youre dumb

BWD777, here's how to pass race track: start placing mages on the last available places (this apply in every map), then wait to upgrade them.
Place 3 wizards till the end of wave 2, then go to 5 wizards for wave 3 and to 9 for wave 4. Upgrade your two firstly place mages to energy for the big orc, and go to 12/14 mages. Now start upgrading them, from the end of the track to the start. You've done.

This release was probably mostly about the map editor (which is very awesome, by the way). Hard to complain, because I've really enjoyed all three of these games, but this one seemed a bit short and slightly unpolished compared to the previous. Still rated it a 5/5, and I look forward to whatever undefined comes out with next

Disgustingly pointless at this stage. I used all thunder elementals at the race track AND I STILL LOST. I upgraded them as quickly as I could AND I STILL LOST. EVEN WITH QUICKSPELL.

Having heroes that come in with a fixed cost and level up based on campaign rather than map achievement is... wierd. I'd rather see their power scale up with their kills on that map and their XP improve their passive abilities.

No need to grind, I completed the game without ever replaying a map I already beaten. Think, don't level up! Great game as always but too short and levels and heroes are pointless. I was at level 4(!) at end of game and hardly used heroes at all. Great ideas but implemented badly. Maybe Protector is better put to rest, concept taken as far as it was possible. Thanks for everything, I have loved those games to death.

I loved the 1st protector and was really excited to play this but now that i have i find this to be very lacking. The whole experience and heroes system is annoying and the maps dont seen nearly as good as they used to be. Go back to protector 1 if you plan on making a forth one. changing my original score of 5/5 of this game to 2/5. I voted it up too hastily :(

Ok, so the issue with upgrading the heroes is that you can only level up heroes that are in slot 1 or 2. None of the other slots work (as in, you can't click on the hero). That's my experience anyway. Pretty good, not necessarily ultimate, but hey, it's a good game.
