Just one thing: It seems that you can unlock more levels just by playing old levels over and over again. I'm not sure if it's a bug or if that's purposeful, but yeh.

Heroes are absolutely useless. An advanced tactican or an advanced destroyer are better than ALL of the heroes put on the field at one time!!

My statistics show that I've spent 100,525 gold.
But I don't yet have the award for winning over 100,000.
Mind you, a 1% interest rate between rounds is utterly, completely, stupidly useless. But still.

I dont like rating low, i never do so because i think its already great that someone created a game and offered it freely. But in this case ill put a 1/5 because potentially it could be a 6/5, everything is great, but its screwed up.

This could have been one of the best of Kongregate, but i am very disappointed. Ive already finished it and havent used any heroes but once, leveled up only to lvl 3 and got only 16 awards. I assumed there would be a second world, but it just Massive Portal and thats it. Half of the awards and the heroes system is useless. Also, never got any unit to 2k experience, and i cant really figure out how i could achieve that, and why would i need so.
Im pretty sure im missing some levels here.

If you're almost at the end and you're level three, the problem is not increased gold/XP. That would just make the game even easier. The fact that the skills aren't even necessary is the problem here.

Not of a fan of the leveling and gold system. I've almost beaten the game and I'm only a level 3 and I only have 3 heros. The experience you earn and gold you earn for completing each map should be increased, dramatically.

ok... I beat every map... at lvl 3 lol
The grinding is not necessary at all... just something to do after you beat it I guess.
For those having trouble:
Little forest - 2 physical warriors with consecrate can take you until wave 12, then put down as many warriors as you can afford.
Vermillion bridge - arcane consecrate warriors toward end, then make fire mages at the entry.

I find that I can't select any of my heros past the first two, and thus cannot level them up.
I'd also prefer longer levels, as well as some other changes, which are more tweakings of the game, that balance things out, such as a larger increase in money and experience gained for harder or later levels.

Eric, wait to upgrade your mages, place 2 of them on the top of the 2 paved "tongues" and then pave the 2 vertex of these tongues, and put there 4 other mages. Wait to upgrade mages till you can, usually you can reach the wave with the beholders (the big blue flying eyes) without upgrading any mage. Each map has his own strategy, you can't complain about this, if not every level would be the same than the other.

lighthouse is rediculous: 1 boss absorbs fire, 1 absorbs ice, 1 absorbs poison, and 1 absorbs energy...and to top it off, ALL waves are flying waves-making warriors USELESS!

The experience system is pretty underwhelming. I am two maps away from finishing the game and have 3 levels ... outs of what 140 possible skill points. It should be worth leveling, its should make a difference.

the heroes keep exp from custom maps. I made a custom map with many weak enemys and 99999 exp, so my hero is realy overpowerd now...

why don't you get enough for doing hard maps vs easy? I see very little increase in XP doing one or the other... it's like they want you to farm boring easy maps over and over to get skills. really dumb.

The badges and the skills are both poorly thought out- they require such a long playtime that neither is effectively involved with winning the game.

lol finished it...manage to get only 1 dude to max level...and by that stage the last boss was dead...necrosis, holy light n them are lame..need longer levels for their use

Hving to replay previous levels is ridiculous. Please get rid of that next time. Also, I'm not a fan of your new skill system, I think it was better to get one skill point after each succesful battle.

Protector 1 was the reason i joined Kong.. When 2 came out i almost creamed my jeans.. But 3 has left me a little disappointed.. Dont get me wrong, i played it and enjoyed it still, but as many of the other posts below me have mentioned, it is lacking that certain 'something' the first two instalments nailed..
