I'm sorry.. most people complain that it's too difficult and everything. It's not, usually you can use the same tactic of building as many mages/warriors as possible and after that upgrading them and you'll get through a lot of levels. Others on the other hand, require a little more thinking. Bravo!

mememe123: "low" speed is good, it is the time between each attack not the amount of attacks in a given time
and Erock3131: The heroes keep the experiense points between the levels, which means you can farm gold in the first level for the wages then take little forest and let them get a little experience each time

mountain fire is crazy,, game is a bit difficult. buffs do not show from heroes in acctual stats. and heroes seem to be useless really.. the skills for leveling need a bit of work especially with experience and gold. great basic concept though.. so was protector 1 though.

@erok: the heroas aren't that bad at all. they got some realy good pasive skills... i used them and when the lvle up they get a real goo damage, too.
The bonueses for the awards are more than the bonuses form the skills.

I had to finish the comment below because of the thousand word rule but here is the rest of the comment below:
So sorry for ranting but in my opinion the hero thing is worthless therefore making the money skill worthless. Not to mention the add 5% EXP skill is also worthless because again every time you purchase it it cost more than 5% to level up again so it just cancels each other out. i liked number 2 way better just because that one had fewer flaws in it. Again sorry for the rant. If its just me please let me know or are others encountering the same problem. Also which skills have people found to actually help. Another thing would is it would be great if they had a reset skill but considering the ones I've encountered are again pointless.

Is it just me or does everyone else hate the new additions. I mean I like the idea but they are pointless and actually do not work. For example the skill "add 5 percent to money afterward does absolutely nothing" because the only reason you need money is to buy heroes and they cost an extra wage every map just depleting your money further than the 5% you earn. Not to mention I find the heroes to be worthless. It takes 200 just to place them and by the time you build up that much money the level is almost over and you are putting a hero who is much much weaker than the rest of your guys. Sure you could level them up but they get little to no experience on the last couple waves of a level so it takes forever. By the time you actuallly do get them leveled up to a decent point the game is over.

im looking forward to another game because it can be improved soo much, a concept with so much potential, but the third game dissaponted me a bit. some tips for another if you make one:
1. make a broader range of skills like in 1 and 2
2. make skills less impossible to get
3. i liked the way you did the heroes, but again, make it less impossible.
4.achievements weren't done so well, make MOST of the bonuses you get from skills and a few from acheivment things.
also, i noticed that the quickspell had less speed that other mages at that level, not good.

i guess its ok..... imean i dont think it is wat it should be, meaning like number 2 wasnt all that good i thought number 3 would make up for it but it didnt it just doesnt have some sort of "it" factor number one did

it isnort that bad at all. I got 10 maps done without big grinding. I am just lvl 3 and use only a single hero at th emoment...

4/5...a little bit disappointing, and easy, if you ask me. Heroes are just here for brag, there's no need to use them to win. Just complete maps and do them over and over until you get enough awards to boost your basic units, and yours is the victory.

I'm wondering why I can't finish mountain fire (medium map which you'll unlock very quickly), but I can beat many of the hard maps?

To improve:
- More levels
- Make the awards a bit easier
- Give some ... reason to replay levels, once the game is completed.

I wasn't aware of the Protector 2 save glitch. Seems like more evidence that this was a terribly sloppy job without creativity, heart, or much effort put in. 1/5

someone asked how to beat vermillion bridge. well that was a TOUGH map for me but i did it. make 4 mages in the center tiles, put warriors underneath along the tetris shaped group of tiles, along the vertical line of it near the center mage tiles. and then do the same with more warriors on the other tetris shaped group near the exits. and just keep upgrading. hint in general: use 'consecrate' on warriors to avoid absorbers and so forth if they're strong on your element.

and fast learner is changed to 21% exp boost or more because with every level you need 20% more exp

I have to agree. I'm not a fan. I this is not very straight forward... the 'upgrades' are very difficult or actually just more obnoxious to do than anything with having to upgrade 50 times, etc. I'm done playing this. Sorry.

That is very interesting... What Harriman says appears to be true. My basic units used to cost 25gp, but after I went back to reapply my skill points on Protector II, I came back, and they only cost 15gp. The same occurred with paving costs, which went from 40gp to 10gp. Now I see why some people have said this game is so hard, while others have said it's ridiculously easy.

The game was a good addition to the series as a whole, but individually, it's not that great... probably the worse of the Protectors because you had to replay the game so much to gain your level ups/skills. So besides the replay value, the game is very, very dissapointingly short. I'll still want to get all the achievements though :P

I dont know if it has been pointed out but if you use skill points to reduce the hire cost of your units in potector 2 they apear to cary over.

Gosh, what a great idea this was -- to take all the tedious aspects of the previous games and then amplify them.
The regular gameplay is more of the same -- genuinely uninspired at this point. The leveling system is tedious grind that adds nothing to the game -- other than wasted time. 0/5.

I've seen a couple people talking about how ritual path was so hard. I beat it first try? Good game in general, a few problems with skills, but nothing big.

You get half the money that you didn't spend on that map at the end, so if you want more money, don't blow it on unnecessary upgrades for your mages/warriors.

I DON´T ASK TO SELL THE UNITS but i press in one heroe that i just hire in the cross and i lost the heroe and the money?!?!?!?!very very bad the game is nice but win very few money the awards is very hard to get like time lord LOLOL 10 HOURS=!=!!!hahahahh the skills hate hate hate bahhh

this one is fun like the others but the 2nd was def my favorite... this one is mainly just replaying levels to get awards and level up :(
and its the final one so no more improvements?
maybe sum1 else will take up protector if they give them permission... hopefully...
