It doesn't look like Mordrid's Wraith Wind skill works. I don't see any impact of kills on damage, either for himself or for other mages.

lackinglack1: In the current case, with unachieveable award, tendious award (1000 crits for example) etc it fails vs a skill tree system. Needs more depth, story and alike in order to make it good. This is because one shouldn't have to grind in order to reach them.
Grinding is never a good element of a game, repetive and tendious gameplay will result in many players just skipping the game. Grinding embedded in a story, a quest, or something like that, is acceptable since it gives the player a reason to continue. Now it is: build 300 fire mages on the same map over and over and over.
Since this is the final version, I believe the creationist(s) want to have it done and move on to other things. Reducing the quality of the game. To bad, the ground this game is built on is really good. The good: hopefully we shall have a new game by them. :)

WARNING: The XP skill (Fast Learner) is very likely not worth it. It provides 5% more XP. However, you need 20% more XP for each level after it. You're better off putting the skill points somewhere else. (More points just makes it worse, because the 20% is multiplied, so 2 levels of Fast learner increases 10% XP, but for 2 more levels you need 1.20*1.20=1.44 or 44% more XP.)

No, I don't think so. The units were super-powerful right from the start. Unupgraded, no element, doing like 200+ damage.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Hmm I was under the impression that the whole "super-powerful first unit" thing had been fixed. It isn't doing it on my end anymore, at least.

my idea of the 7 best heroes: (somewhat in order): Mordrik, Mopey Mike, Ember, Frostik, Heimdal/Sintar (tie), Burning Brad.
the rest are not as good.... the archer and bob the builder are just CRAP.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
For each lvl you need 20% more xp, yes. But the fast learner is for each COMBAT, so you will end up earning on it quite early. Also, yes the game can be beaten early, but some people like to not only beat a game, but 'play' it,, get what u can, sort of.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I explained that poorly. You need 20% MORE experience for the next level, with only a 5% bonus from the skill. It will actually pay off in the long run, but since you can beat the game at level three or four, there's no reason to do so.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the key to all these maps is PLACEMENT... you have to strategically PLACE your units in areas whre the enemy will travel as many times near as possible, or loop around them.... thats basically the only tricky thing, and also check ahead for weak/strong elements, avoid getting absorb trapped.... thats about it. the fun part is levelling up heroes and getting awards though

@Takumashii: If you are planning to get more than a few levels, the fast learner will obviously help you in the end. Duh
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Hawkan and all other crying for skill reset: Do you have any idea what your saying? Allowing skill reset would allow for abuse of the game, and the fast learner skill.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Fast Learner makes you receive 5% more experience per map completed. However, to get a point in it, you need to level up. The next level, you will need 20% experience to level up. Hence, it doesn't end up being worth it at all. Calm down and think about things before you insult people.

ChichiriMuyo, your wrong. Fast learner makes you get more experience each level, it doesn't cost you more experience. Your the idiot.

My only piece of advice is, do not listen to the game when they tell you that one super mage is better than a lot of normal ones. I beat the game by now, and have only lost one map by just using basic strategy, as in upgrading every unit to only the the second level, so they can pick an element. Overall, numbers really do win this game, not quality. For me that's how it was at least.

NEEDS to be vastly improved. To many buggs to even report......
The third heroe u hire is useless.. Cant upgrade him...
Pls fix..

i really loved the previous parts of protector, but this is really hard. odd portal with even only fire mages through the ice waves, i still die in the first fire wave oO

Strange Circle is an awesome map
its like Odd Portal but better
Race Track is good for an easy 1k+ gold each try, also hero exp
Ice Shelf good hero exp too
Little Forest good for getting someone to Legendary

I am not very fond of the fact that you dont get any money or experience if you dont complete the level, for now that is the reason i will not play this game 3/5
