Honestly, this game WILL NOT load on my computer... I have tried it on two computers and I love these games, so it is naturally ticking me off just a bit.

If I hire Jones to loot for me, why do I have to look for his stuff?
I wouldn't trust someone who can't find his gloves to steal jewels for me.

Some quests have descriptions that are too big to see all of, such as "Wiping the Slate" and "Sealing the Rift"... and I'm sure there's one other Hillhome quest with this problem. Small detail, but they can be pretty humorous, so I feel I'm missing out.

I'm great at these types of games. Yet, I can't seem to get past the second red quest....... I MUST be doing something wrong... T_T

this game is not so great; low graphics and slow moving plot. I suggest playing another game! Also, it is hard to start off, and i found myself lost many times.

Its strange how on a mission to kill lizards, there are flying units like imps. That needs to change so the all melee heroes are actually useful.

Damn.. The concept of this game is really astunishing. My compliments.
Please go further in the development in this type of game. A TD with heroes, exp and faction reputation is seriously a great concept!!!
Some feedback:
-Might want to add a bit more side quest lines and a bit less random Generated Quests.
-Might want different factions to be eachothers enemy's or ally's making you being disliked by the one when you get befriend by the other.
-I finished the game with 1 single hero and some Elemantal change items. Might want to nerf the benefits you get from a hero or make some LVL's impossible to finish with just 1 element.
-Some more lvl's without flying units to improve the benefit of having melee units.
Would love to play Protector 5, ive played all protectors but this one is really worth commenting on. 5/5 Keep up the good work!!

Does anyone else find that using Speed Up button actually makes the game harder? The attack speed increase for your troops doesn't compensate for the movement speed increase for the mobs and ends up making it harder. I've tried on several levels, I think it needs a little tweaking so that it evens back out.

Some tips/impressions:
- Arkandia Jones is a waste of money
- The best items can be bought. Keep as much money as possible at the end ot the map, some of it will be transferred to the overland map. Sell the mostly useless stuff, but keep one element change item of each type
- The ONLY melee units worth using in the current version are Cutpurses and Gentlemen. Increase their steal ablity, add some gold return items and buy those really good artifacts at the stores
- Most of the time it is MUCH more effective to keep ur units at lvl 1...just spend the money on new units. Prefer adv units with lvling.
- Focus on either ranged or magic units and that skill plus few points in elements and specialism.
- imho MOST of the other skills are a waste.

Really cool game!! Had hours of fun with it :) The Mixture of Tower-Defense and RPG elements is great. Unfortunately, it is WAY to easy, with no way to change the difficulty.i finished it a second time, with only using 1 hero and only using Trainees and Archwizards.
btw: is there a place where i could post an attachment? I made a complete list of all units with all their abilities.i would like to share^^ And my list of possible improvements is also way to long to post it here.

you have to level up your units. only certain units get critical strike skills. click them when they are sparkly, after they've killed a few things.

Does anyone else think that 'Jude the Miser' looks a lot like James Labrie, the singer of Dream Theater? i'm gonna make him win everything on his own just for that =D

When the magic upgrade says it ups the damage of all "mages" does that mean all types of magic units or mages specifically? This might sound like a really dumb question but I have one hero who has magic through the roof, another with no upgrade at all, but their wizards do identical damage.

I relied solely on the magic hero from the beginning, and I found it to be a nice challenge, until I came to the energy absorption giants... I also had no clue that you could purchase such convenient, powerful items from shops. Although it was a neat feature indeed, the game was actually more fun without such a contrast in heroes and great items, or at least the ease at which you could acquire both.
All in all, without items and relying on a single hero, the game had me playing for several days due to difficulty -- I basically leveled up the hero and gave it super powerful items and was finally able to overcome everything, except the absorption dudes!

A hotkey to get out of the skill-tree menu would be nice. Having to manually click all over the place is a bit irritating.

Would be great if there were some few enemy units who can fight against the players units. They stop all of a sudden, attack the Mage/Paladin/whatever - and if they win, they just keep on moving. And the Player lost one Unit on the Map. And if not...well, there could be a skill involved (Healing), so the Players Unit will get by as Time goes on. There could be also a special Skill, a Paladin with "provoke" for example, who can STOP a passing-by creature and force it into 1:1 Battle. Assisted by all the comrades who are in range, of course.

it is nice how every protector game uses the mouse, not the keys because they go sticky on kongregate for some unknown reason
