Having normal quests be one-shot deals takes a lot of the more enjoyable strategy out of the game. Otherwise great game!

I like how I can't make a Technomancer at the beginning of a match even though I have enough money. Default 75 start, the cost for unit is 68.

ignore last comment it was supposed to be the place where you can hit enemys but this isnt that good with say archwizards as they have a longer range than the normal 12 square radius
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
just in case you dont know you put your units on the edges so they can hit more enemys
example ________________
or here> |_______________| <put units here

not sure if this already exists, but there needs to be a way to replace units for double the cost or something, cause i have lost so many levels cause i place 1 wrong unit

I know it's not a new game at this point, but there needs to be a way to command your units to prefer specific targets. It's irritating to have the units I've placed to guard one of two paths turn their backs on that path and attack units at the extremity of their range, while the units they're supposed to be taking down walk by them and move on to the exit.

@ chaldon (currently in the featured comments section): do you mean, your Cold Patroler upgraded with Consecration might help? From what I understood from your above explaination, Consecration gave you strenght vs monsters that you already are weak against. Is that correct? eg.: Monster: strong vs Poison, weak vs Physical. Protector: Poison type. So when you add consecration (granted it is available) the protector will gain an "elemental" advantage even though it is weak against the monster's strenth (poison)? Please rank this up or if somebody could answer it would be nice :)

something that should be perma-linked on this thread, a complete guide to all units and their abilities and upgrade trees:

seriously. every "normal" quest I have gone on has started off reasonable, and then it always has one absolutely ridiculous wave of a hundred fast badgers or something. No, this game has potential, but needs a lot of work IMO.

and what's a protectormon? I had one drop, but I have no idea what it is, or where to find it in my skills or inventory?

I like a lot of the strategy involved here. However, I found the following to be weaknesses: - heroes for hire are way to random wrt to skills, abilities, and type of soldier used. - battles do not follow logical progressions wrt to enemy numbers, strengths, or speed. You can be rolling along just fine for many turns, then the next wave is entirely disproportionately fast and strong. It's bloody ridiculous. Even starter quests, where all the element weaknesses are met, often contain essentially unwinnable waves. Meh, I like the concept, but I think it needs work myself.

Also, if you are having a hard time with getting money, items, or protectomons (not sure if that is correct spelling) try to get your hands on a Hero with the Scavenger unit then get your hands on an element changing item equip it to him then just level him up at the Blacksmith place use only the Scavengers (Using the top skill tree). If the Hero levels give him bonuses to Swordplay and Specialism. Just keep doing that and you should get them all pretty quickly. (Though you might fail the quest a couple times from the last bosses armour rating.) This way I got 5 Protectomons in one match...

Looting skill has NO effect on quality of loot, only loot chance.
I'm level 16 looting and all loot is the same as level 1.

I love the game, storyline, game-play, graphics, and most of all has to be the Faction Emblems... They are just amazing! 5/5

I don't know if it's because I played the last few versions so much, but the new skill tree on training units is somewhat overcomplicated and is still taking me a while to get used to.
Otherwise, yet another great game :) Hope there are more.

Fantastic Game, the continual innovation by Undefined is truly phenomenal. However, as has been mentioned repeatedly there are a few minor flaws:
1) There is only one level of fast forward, so the game can get tedious on longer levels and slow waves. 3 speeds would IMO be ideal, with one ultrafast setting.
2)The loot system would be vastly improved with a sort option and, if possible, a larger inventory screen, most likely as a separate menu.
3) The awards, while very cool, are horrendously unorganized. It's difficult to find specific award types, so organization into categories such as *storyline quests*, *hire x amount of units*, *use skill X amount of times*, and etc.
4) More detail in the Protectorpedia. Many skills are very vague and questions are asked about stealing and consecration frequently.
If possible it would be great to see these addressed in some way in an update, but if not, they're just things to keep in mind for Protector V.
