I was kind of pleased to see that Ranged units are now independent (instead of a costly upgrade of Melee units, as in previous Protector games). However the downside: Melee units are now kinda useless. They're invariably slow, their range is lousy, and they can't attack flying enemies. With all those drawbacks they're just not worth using on 99% of maps, no matter how much damage they do.

As for many, I was drawn to Kong because of protector 1.
Much improvement has been done since, and this n°4 is very good.
However, I do have a suggestion:
When choosing the heroes for the quest, a popup screen allowing the hero-equip would be nice. For the moment, the only way around this is to check the quest, go back to hero-equip, and back to quest again. Would be great to be able to avoid all that....

found a glitch (i think) when you go onto your home camp, if you click where the "hire hero" option usually is, you get gold. keep clicking, keep getting gold.

@kato86 if u replay story battle's, u will get protectomons. i dontknow how fast u get them, but i have found 5 so far, got 18 story quest and 5 protectomons. i replayed al at least one. a few some more.. it goes very slow, but they are like weak talents, a protectomon gives a single kind of unit +1 damage or something, very small, and based on class and the tribe or kingdom or whatever the unit is from.

My thoughts after playing hours with this: good concept, good ideas, much possibilities to upgrade, it has it's potential, but it's not well made, it has several bad things that is rather connected with gameplay not the idea. Despite it is worth playing.

It would also be better if during each wave, we are able to view the critters' defences etc.. when we click on them and also how many critters are left in the wave.

Great game... only I wish some things were explained more thoroughly. 'Cause I'm kind of thick, you see... so I get the gist of the game, but most of the upgrades and whatnot have me lost. Still an awesome game though :)

Definately the ultimate protector experience. But, it can improve a bit here and there. it would be nice if we get to see our progress in the skills page for talents such as steal 500 gold etc...

Hm... I'm not sure but... in another account I kept getting a reasonable amount of Protectomon but now I'm not getting a single one. Someone could give me a hint here?

I don't like how at the begining i'm defending just fine then all of a sudden a huge wave comes out and beats me ... it doesn't even you much of a chance... probably because i suck at this game though (:

5/5 even if I get bored after few minutes, that's not my kind of game but I'm sure a lot of people will like it

The Skaran watcher was always supposed to be a slow big hitter due to it being the only basic unit with access to the "KtD" special. When used correctly it is still probably the most powerful pure damage basic unit in the game, before the update it was simply the only unit you ever needed.

you should split the shield indicating incomming waves in half and put colors corresponding to both elemental strength and weakness instead of just weakness, games pretty good otherwise

i just don't think i can face hauling ass through this game again. its pretty much the same as the others.
also: it keeps telling me there are heros for hire but i don't know how to hire them. i could research it on the internets but shouldn't it be more apparent?

may i suggest that you can only wear one pair of boots, one pair of gloves, one hat, etc.? its kind of silly if a hero is wearing three sets of boots

maybe its just my problem, but i think you can change the heroes element durable with items "elemental switch: ELEMENT", maybe thats wanted, but for me it seems that the usable scrolls are meant to do such thinks. and that is how it works:
equip your hero 2 items of that type, one of it should be of the element you want your hero to be, then you unquip the item with the element-switch you dont want. when you now unequip the last element switch item your hero keeps beeing that element.

Too easy once you have 3-4 heroes with good equipment, you can finish any map with 3-4 basic units being upgraded as you go. The main thing I liked about the first three was the high difficulty.

i would like: 1. autolevelup 2. for the preview to also show the strengths as well as the weaknesses, and also a little icon for flying, absorb, etc

Its impossible to get the Beserk skill, because even at 35% beserk chance, the fighters rarely go Beserk. Sometimes they kill 100 foes without going Beserk at all. If you have a high specialism, your beserk can last up to a minute, so you would have perhaps 5 beserk counts every game... Try to get to 1000 with that.
