this is a really good game. good upgrading the levels on your heros and character, different quests as well as the story mode. after finishing this game i still play. however i was wondering, is there going to be a protector 5? i really hope so.

Suggestion: Under the base camp, when you click "send away" it would be a good idea if you had an "Are you sure?" message.

i would really like to have a more detailed description of the units moves, so that i would not have to keep doing this trial and error way of finding it all out. thanks :)

@bysannti right click on the flash(game) screen then choose settings and under local storage drag right to unlimited. First site(kongregate) that needs that.

First of all i want to say i love this game :D. The one problem i have though is that swordsmanship seems completely useless in any of the normal quests. I'm not sure if they are randomly generated but having 0 effect on flying when half the waves are flying units makes them quite ineffective.

I finished this game more than 3 months ago, and I sitll play it. Very very VERY few flash games can do that.
Congratulations Undefined, the new Protector Leveling & Shop Systems are a huge improvement on the series. =)
5/5 Favorited, needs MORE badges.

BUG:: Multiple "Element Switch" items added to a hero will permanently change that hero's element damage type!! Found this out the hard way, so be careful!!

is there a way to make this game harder? key to the game is magic...so skills=magic use, units= trainees and keep filling up trainees, do a + to kee pthis alive

For srsly, I suggest U break the game so I win without thinking. Hurtz mai brainz!
Kidding. Please don't listen to the noob suggestions (Unit selling for instance). The game is excellent. That people have so many suggestions for improvement only means that they care enough about the game to suggest it..

Imo It's much less challenging than "reclaiming the throne" and even protector3. Every sequel since protector 3 focused more on rpg elements (special warriors that could gain exp themselves - though terribly slowly which made them almost useless - in the 3d part and heroes from different alignments now). But becoming less determined it lost it's charming balance. In reclaiming the throne one had to guess the author's clever plan - to find the only correct sequence of elements and debuffs + careful distribution of bonus points. And now there are hundreds of variants but the ruin the strategy and balance - I used only 2 heroes (+ items of element switch) with ranged and magic units to beat the whole game in just several hours =(

if u want easy experience, complete the great hydra quest and replay it, put 2 units from the character you wanna train in the front and 2 units from your strongest guy in the back, it evens out perfect (keep this baby alive if u agree)

It would be super cool if you could just arm a number of items for your store and they'd apply to any Heros you select in the next game. Too much screen jumping for me.

Wow! This is a real challenge! I've played the first three a couple times over (each), and although they were puzzlers, this is actually quite hard. I got frustrated and stopped last night. But this morning I have to start again...The formula remains the same: Addictive!

for those who think this game is too easy, try finishing it without failing a quest even once ^_^. good luck to you guys.

i played the other 3 protector games & finished them but this one seems more complicated and i keep failing quests. I like it enough to keep trying though.

Is there really any advantage hiring other heroes? My starting three have given me magic, melee and ranged units that seem more than up for the job. Are there missions where you need certain ones?

I want to love this game, and in fact all of the new concepts are great. Love the badges, protectomons, the idea of different factions, etc etc. But the execution falls flat, so very flat. The factions don't have sufficiently different flavour, and there is no sense that "picking" a faction has any impact on reputation with other factions, quest options, etc. Your initial character choices have only a trivial effect on the game. But most of all the game is just far too easy. It seems that any old splattering of units will get you through a level, provided you've paid minimal attention to picking the right elements for the level. There is little reason to use melee units, and levels get mind-numbingly similar after a few runs. The text is poorly written. After three hours with the game, I haven't lost a level yet and am pretty bored with it. Earlier Prots were real challenge by comparison! Some serious re-balancing and refining of the faction concept could make this a great game.

@dustin4888:
Thanks a lot for the hint, Dustin. Unfortunately it didn't work.
Her archwizards have only a power of 10, so I increased their power by 4 and added her some extra lives. But 20 lives and a power of 14 still weren't enough. The archwizards still dashed against wave 2, the second poison wave. :-(

I have to say, this is such a great game. The only thing I have to complain about is that you can't tell your units what to target. If they had an interface where you highlight where they can attack would be awesome. Also one to tell them to target strongest or if they are debuffing people who aren't debuffed yet and stuff like that. I think you already did that in a later game, though.
