It seems to me the Hard "Stranger with Arkandia Badge" doesn't take count of my "red storyline quests" :( Anybody else?

I'm not sure what you did, but somehow, when I end a level, the music I'm listening to on Pandora Radio stops playing until I pause and un-pause it. How the hell did you do that?

Does anyone know what the protectomons are or how to get them? Because I've been playing for a long time and I still got nothing.

PROTIP: Get a hero with high beginning stats when you can, that also has ranged/magic units. Get elemental switch items for each element. Only level up that hero. I haven't ran into any problems with this method yet. If you *do* need a 2nd element, then that's still only up to 3 heroes you have to train instead of 1 per element.

this game just got a 5/5 from me. it was already good, but then i got the "SUIT UP!" achievement. that sealed the deal for me.

This really is a pretty good game. It distills the basics of a good RPG into a compact, online form. Granted, the upgrade structure offers way too many branches to go down, and it makes getting a initial grasp of the overall concept of the game a bit daunting of a task. Once you get an approach to the game that you like, it's a pretty nice game, especially for TD/RPG hybrid fans. This is a hybrid that focuses more on the RPG than the TD elements.

there are a few things that really bother me in this game, one is that physical and fire are by far the best and most useful units, and poison is nearly useless in almost every level. another thing is that advanced units are rarely worth the money. And 3, mele units are inferior to range units. Other than that I liked the game, all the different units you could use, all the powerful artifacts you could collect, It all added up to be a rather enjoyable game.

Several of the talents seem impossible to get -- you can't buy them at the store and they never drop. Also where can I buy a player skill reset. There's no way to get the skill talents otherwise. I'd have to play thousands of games.

It is far too easy to completely obliterate almost any level with the right type of unit. Just check the waves on any level for absorbs and strengths, and pick the right element accordingly.

The battles are TOTALLY unbalanced, it generally goes that I dominate for the first 14/15, 9/10, 19/20 without losing a single life then I get crushed on the very last wave, making it a little harder is okay, but that's too big of a difference.

This game is great. 1. Kongregate is its home 2. You control what kind of units you have 3. You don't have to abide strictly by the story

The "Crafty"-talent is buggy in my savegame. I already bought and used the "Scroll of the Crafts" several times, but didn't get the talent.

I love Protector games, but Protector IV is very easy. Please undefined, make more difficult maps and longer maps (random maps are short and easy). And storyline is very short.
Is 5/5, but not perfect.

Heres a lil tip of the easy badge, get a hero with an archer and when and archer levels up there should be a little thing that says 5% chance of critical. not that any1 will see this after the next 5 comments :P

What Xenod said... and especially pay attention to units that have 'Absorb'. E.g., Strong against Fire can be beaten by powerful Fire units, but not when the enemy mob has absorb.

I originally didn't like this game and now I can't stop playing it.
1) Melee units are useless.
2) Make sure that the two units under any individual hero are of the same type, i.e. both Ranged or both Magic (they can both be Melee, but see #1). This allows you to focus on one skill for that hero for damage. You can change the basic or advanced unit a hero has by buying scrolls, but there's no way to guarantee that you get the unit that you want.
3) You only need 5 heroes, 1 for each element.
4)Although the bar at the bottom displays what element a wave is weak against, you should actually be concerned about is what it is STRONG against. This is especially important for the last few waves of a round. If the last wave is Strong against Fire, then you need to make sure that you are not depending on Fire units. Find an element that none of the later waves are strong against, and use that for the majority of your damage, even if none of the waves are weak against that element.

I know it's a minor thing, but I'm slightly annoyed with the problems with the Mute SFX button. Not only does it not carry over from map to map like Mute Music does, it doesn't even mute all sound effects.
